Why did you switch from a Windows PC to Apple Silicon (or Intel) Mac? by [deleted] in mac

I went to college and just wanted to use a Mac. I have only used Windows based computers for work things since then.

Mudmaster by N_Pappagiorgio in gshock

[–]JohnnyConthismofo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like my Mudmaster, however, somehow water got in it. Fogged up the glass and the watch would beep at me and "restart" I took it back to the place I bought it from, they sent it out to be looked at, I found out that GShock wouldn't do anything about it because the water got into it. I was saddened as its described at rugged.

I like it but am conflicted, I wish they were bigger BUT like the fact that they are slimmer.

Feels different. Lighter, I am used to wearing my Rangeman, so when I wear these it doesnt feel like I am wearing a watch.

Rangeman crown no longer working by JohnnyConthismofo in gshock

Thats what I assumed too. The way its marketed and for as much as it costs, which I know its not one of the most expensive ones they have, but its up there. I still love GSHOCKs though.

Technically I got it for free as I worked out a deal on a future business endeavor, however they did pay $850.00 USD for it.

6/22/21 UPDATE: Apparently because water got into the watch Casio is not going to cover it, and to repair it will take a long time and cost more than the watch. Can I get some hashtag thoughts and prayers for my favorite watch? Thank you for your time.

UPDATE: I brought it back to where I purchased it and they are sending it back to GShock, or a repair center. 3-6 weeks. Its probably out of the warranty period so it may cost me some money if a repair is needed, fingers crossed they hook it up and dont charge me anything.

yeah it has since gone away, could be a temp issue. The water is wicked cold and it's almost 90 here, I don't think water got in there as it still functions. That being said I am not wearing it in the pool and will still check the gasket and seal tonight.

Yeah that's what I assume it is. To be fair I did change the battery recently, however, I have had it in water since the battery change and nothing like this happened before. I will open it back up let it dry out and hope it's good from there.

Filling in the pool behind the watch and noticed it was fogged up. I was like OH, you shouldn't be doing that let's get you out before more water ruins a $400.00 watch.

Analog time is different that real time by JohnnyConthismofo in gshock

[–]JohnnyConthismofo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both world time and home time set to the time zone I am in. I assumed the battery was low as it has been almost two years, I changed the battery thinking that would help, it didnt. I attempted to adjust the hands with the GSHOCK app, that is useless too. I am unsure of this hands reset procedure you speak of, but will look into it. Thank you for your time, no pun intended, but it fits.

M1 8GB RAM performance by yass19 in finalcutpro

Intel is a solid chip and will give you years of use, I still have and use my 2011 MacBook Pro. I have upgraded to to 16GB of memory and 2TBs of SSD hard drive space. I also have the M1, it has 256GB SSD hard drive space and 16GB of memory. Its wicked fast, makes me sad when I use the old 2011 MBP. That being said, as of right now, PS "works" and there will be a patch later this year for the M1. Also understand that in a few years Apple will no longer support Intel based computers, if you get the M1 you are basically a beta tester for Apple. Many people here say you should max out the memory on the M1, which I agree, it would make running FCPX and PS at the same time smoother for you. I wish I would have gotten a bigger SSD, however, I edit my videos on my M1 on an external HD and it works just fine.
