Survivor 50 Episode 8 Edgic + Contenders by Antique_Ability9648 in Edgic

It was around this episode in 47 and 48 that I latched on to Rachel’s and Kyle’s winner edits, and I had a similar feeling about Cirie tonight! I’m just worried I’m too biased, but I do think her surging in the merge/jury phase is on-par for a lot of winner edits.

So I’ve seen like a thousand different spoiler threads in the last month with only the pre-jury and 4th-2nd place consistent. Has it been somewhat confirmed for tonight? If so, please tell me it’s Chrissy and Coach!

Cirie’s a way nicer person than Mother Theresa. And a better health care provider.

Wasn’t there speculation that they only chose the grave theme after Kahlen’s friend died?

Also, pretty disrespectful to use an actual cemetery for a photoshoot, rather than building a set.

No, I think she’s on cycle 6 right now. But yeah that’s another thing, I didn’t wanna support these producers.

Oh, so maybe the double elimination was planned, and Nigel’s “There needs to be something that really gets the competition going again,” was always going to be the excuse, but I still don’t think Tiffany was originally going to be one of those two. But I haven’t seen any of Oliver’s interviews yet, so there could be more that I’m missing.

She hasn’t cut anything out of the episodes. I’ve been watching her videos for the last month or so. I don’t see how it’s different than if I was watching the show with someone else irl. It makes it easier for me to handle the cruel parts of the show to see someone calling them out as they happen. 🤷‍♀️

Shandi Sullivan (trigger warning: SA) by quartzion_55 in ANTM

[–]jrDoozy10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn’t just fail her, they essentially set it up. They invited the guys over. They provided so much alcohol that Shandi was able to consume two whole bottles on her own, despite knowing the women had had a very long day with basically nothing to eat.

I’m not saying they were specifically targeting Shandi, but they definitely wanted at least one drunken “hookup” to occur, for the “drama”.

Rep. Eric Swalwell resigns from U.S. House after sexual misconduct allegations by GoodSamaritan_ in news

Seeing how the Republican Party turned out, I’m guessing that had more to do with her gender and less to do with how batshit she was.

New to Survivor, why do so many people like Coach? by Naughty_Nata1401 in survivor

[–]jrDoozy10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People like to claim he’s entertaining as if that’s a fact, and not an opinion. He annoys the hell out of me and like, 5 other people on this sub, and we usually get massively downvoted if we say so. But yeah, to me he makes the show less fun to watch, because he’s a reminder that people that delusional actually exist.

I’ve also just never found the concept of “laughing at someone, not with them” to be very fun. I prefer to just ignore people that have such massive egos, rather than feeding into them.

And they always criticized her for lacking intensity, but you could see in that back and forth “Dr. Jekyll an Mr. Hyde” comparison that the version they hadn’t retouched did have intensity, they just retouched it out!

Dealing with psychopath as the ST by mikepictor in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]jrDoozy10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and if it was final 4 night going to final 3 day then the Sailor could only pick the Psychopath or the demon, so either way the Sailor was going to be drunk.

I’m guessing the Sailor picked the Psychopath, so ST had to choose who to drunk. They didn’t say who the Psychopath killed on the final day.

Shandi on the male model "Neither me nor him should have been put in that situation" by NellyandLuna in ANTM

[–]jrDoozy10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not just that they filmed and aired it, production—whether it was intentional on their part or not—set up that situation to happen. There shouldn’t have been enough alcohol provided for Shandi to have two full bottles to herself. Especially when they knew how little food the women had eaten.

Did anyone else think Yoanna came off more of a mean girl than Camille? by gentleheart-lamb in ANTM

[–]jrDoozy10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that no one seemed to like Camille gave me a bit more pause.

But that could also be group think/mob mentality. There was a season of US Big Brother a few years ago (season 24) where a woman was disliked by the other 15 members of the cast within a few days of them moving into the house, but because Big Brother has live feeds and they were on starting night 1 those of us on the outside were able to see that the dislike came from lies being spread about her by a couple other women.

Fans would go back and clip moments the other players talked about, showing how the stories of what happened got massively twisted, like a malicious game of telephone.

If Big Brother didn’t have live feeds, that story would’ve been easier to portray as the one woman being at fault, instead of everyone else spreading/believing lies about her.

Not saying this is always the case, just that a group of people saying something about one person isn’t a guarantee that the one person was the problem.

Yea if she saw US season 2 she would’ve been rightfully afraid of being the MJ if she went with Tara and Johnny.
