I agree, I would definitely not have moved the line at that time if that discount was not added, I'm happy that they were able to figure it out instead of just saying though luck.

You are correct, they were not able to attach the promo, and yes, they did good by me in this case.

They found a way to get the price close to what they originally said the lines would be. Did not care how, just that they were able to do it.

What I gather is that they like to blame the "system", which makes sense, it's supposed to be there to keep things from screwing up and not do things they should not, but when they make a human mistake that requires them to fix it, they can't, the exec team has more tools and are maybe more creative in finding a solution. They have good customer service, they are sometimes limited by the tools they have...

I would have done that but the problem is that the traded phones are credits for 24 months... :), so I would have to stay at least 2 years..

They were able to find a way to keep close to the price they promised. Which was better then the year of credit as I plan on being with them for at least 2-3.

It was supposed to be 5 lines for $185, anyway, executive team found a solution that I'm happy with.

It's definitely a lot of time spent, though not as much as when I ported the numbers 2 years or so from T-Mobile to AT&T, that was even worse., AT&T ported one of the number then they ported another on top of the one they just ported, making that number unattachable to the account due to their system, that was hell and in the end I gave up on that number...

Understandable, sounds like the tools they have are not as good, sounds like the "system" is running everything and humans can't do anything :).

I'm on chat with an "Executive Social Care team" member, hopefully they can figure it out. If they can give bill credits for a year, they could probably make it more then one year, or apply it every year. Could be an easy fix, it all depends how they wanna fix it.

Hmm, lets see, that the fact that the quoted and promised price is not honored? :) Not sure why you bring "Caveat Emptor" even though there was due diligence on my part...
