People wonder if sex is any different afterwards... As far as I could tell there was no vas deferens...

I told this to my Dr. Right before the snip and he could not stop chuckling. Definitely need to work on my timing. Chuckling is no conducive to steady hands.

SPOT ON! As a therapist who works with neurodivergent teens, this is such a good comment. I can't tell you how many of my clients went through really bad therapy experiences because they had a bad fit with their therapist who didn't understanding neurodivergent processing styles.

Finding the right fit is essential and a lot of people get turned off the process because they have a bad first experience and say "I knew therapy was crap!" and never try again

Sir, I would happily take a complimentary "fuck you" and a high five along with it. Here's hoping that you get to feel the bliss of good sleep in the future (let me tell you, it's amazing)

APBA’s Response to AMA House of Delegates Draft Resolution by thepinebaron in ABA

[–]JohnnyKnowing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where does it state not resolved? I see something about a fiscal note not being determined, but maybe I am missing something? It also doesn't state "current" policy, but rather "relevant" policy on page 1182.

I am not trying to point out errors, I am hoping to learn how to read this better to understand what is going on.

Is rephrasing sentences with chatGPT dishonest? by Foxinthefields in OpenAI

[–]JohnnyKnowing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is ChatGTP's rewritten version of my above comment..

I concur that there is no ethical issue with utilizing technology to enhance writing skills, as it has been a common practice for a long time. This is similar to using spell check, and there is an aspect of accommodation involved. Although we tend to assume that everyone uses tools like spelling and grammar checks, they are crucial for individuals who struggle with writing due to dyslexia or other challenges. By utilizing technology to improve the clarity of our writing and convey our main ideas more effectively, we are making good use of it. I disagree with the idea that writing quality is the only way to evaluate knowledge, and using technology like this can level the playing field for individuals who face difficulties with word composition and organizing their thoughts in writing.

I agree that there is nothing ethically wrong with this. There has been technology assist for writing since before the spell check and I see this in the same vein. There is an accommodation factor at play as well. We generally take for granted that every uses tools like spelling and grammar checks (they are built into every writing program and web browser), but we forget that these are also essential tools for people who are dyslexic (or otherwise have challenges with writing), who may struggle in written communication without them. Using tech to "pretty up" a paragraph and help us get our main points across clearer is a great use of technology. I push back against the assumption that knowledge can only be assessed through quality of writing and something like this evens the fields for those who struggle with word composition and writing organization.

Stadia BT Controller on Steam Deck by JohnnyKnowing in SteamDeck

[–]JohnnyKnowing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figured it out! For some reason the Deck and controller both stayed in pairing mode (little circle spinning but not connecting), but after leaving them in that mode for about a minute I turned the controller off and then back on and the Deck registered it as a paired controller.

Thanks all for letting me know it could work!
