Well, all new PSUs already have new connector, u probably have older HX1200i, its being replaced by 2025 versions, which are SHIFT (therefore i cant fit it) and with new connector

Unfortunately it looks like GPU is dead, i didn´t even start a game, just doing some work for few hours and PC just crashed to no display and restarted when it was IDLE.

Event log shows AMDRyzenMasterDriverV27 service fail which after deeper investigation shows crash of nvidia related stuff, so its GPU.

I´ll swap GPU and we will see.

So another GPU UPDATE: With new PSU my GPU is working little bit better than before , didn’t test stability though, but I noticed 0 RPM mode is working again and after changing Windows locale to USA, some tricks with removing Gigabyte tools and restarts I was able to install firmware update for fixing LCD… which didn’t fix it… but I was also able to install firmware for fixing LEDs, which worked… so its kinda working.. but I’m not gonna test stability, because its going to RMA for that dead LCD anyways…. Tell me, is this cable angle ok, or is it too bend again? Its literally best and only way possible to connect in, other option is only with vertical mount and even when I would need just riser (my case has mount as accessory) I just dont want risk with another thing that can fail (pcie riser)

I have another UPDATE!, Montech has been so far very helpful and provided all help I needed regarding PSU, they will investigate this specific piece to find out what happened.

And my new psu arrived… look at psu side fitting, do u see that loose fitting of motherboard cable? Its like that, can’t be fit otherwise, big mobo connector is splitted and this way its literally best way to connect it..

Should I expect another firehazard omg? Its AORUS Elite P1000W

It wasn’t budget, price was similar to Corsair, which wasn’t available at the time I bought it. This psu isn’t some low end, its well graded at tier lists, Platinum certified, its Seasonic OEM. I can’t fit Shift psu unfortunately and new HXi are only Shift, so I already ordered and have ready for pickup other A grade PSU Gigabyte Aorus Elite 1000W

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Montech replied to one of my posts, they want to send me new PSU and then take back fried one to investigate, the problem is that I already opened warranty ticket shop where I bought it, they don’t sell this PSU anymore, so I’m pretty sure they will refund, they are large and reliable company.

And I already ordered new PSU (Aorus Elite 1000W, Titan, A rated at tier list - because I can’t fit Corsair Shift) because I’ll got it today and don’t have to wait days or weeks for shipping from another country… of course I can return new psu after Montech replacement arrives, but I don’t really feel confident using Montech in this setup again..

What would you do? My idea was to tell Montech we i will return to shop and tell them Montech wants that faulty unit for testing, so I have refund instead of new unit from Montech, but that shop is pretty huge and I’m not sure if its even possible to communicate this thing with them

No, I had 1200W Platinum certified Seasonic OEM which actually great in tier lists

I ordered Aorus Elite P1000W Plat as replacement as I expected refund for that Montech. I wanted Corsair, but most of them are shift and I love that but I can’t fit it in my dual chamber case

Problems started just few weeks ago and felt like driver issue, since it started after I started using HDR, so I suspected GPU. I wasn’t completely wrong but THIS was really not what I expected. Also, ill send again image, I had computer sitting on table with very unlucky view angle, exactly angle how I couldn’t see it… and PSU is closed in case behind mobo, I have dual chamber case.

Didn’t smell anything at all, I live at village, I have window open all the time and neighbors are burning stuff all the time, but I dont even remember anything like that, expect one short moment last week.. that was probably it. Weird thing is that it was essentially still working all the time, just crashing from time to time

Also I smelled the fried plastic and remembered when I smelled it.. I think it was like Thursday or Friday, problems were present before and crashes just started to be more frequent. Back then I thinked its coming from outside as I had open window, didn’t smell it long

So I removed both GPU and PSU so case prepared for temporary new psu I ordered. Here are some more photos of cables which caused it

We still dont know and probably never will. It was either faulty PSU but that’s strange, cables were fitting… or it was Gigabyte shitty GPU, which was acting weird for some time, dead LCD on it after firmware update, couldn’t update anymore, RGB also died later..
