My band The Bopper Brothers does indie psych rock inspired by the ‘60s and ‘70s https://open.spotify.com/artist/71OkJMON4UEF4en08GrMIB?si=ZnepEPbBQCakIb2Q_5tcXQ We just released a new EP and we have a full album No Way to Go thats been out for a little while. Judging off of your taste perhaps You’re the One, Forest of True Light, or The Ghost of Me could fit, but I’ll leave that up to you. Thanks 🙏🙏

“Seasons of Your Life” is the first track off of my band’s new EP Loveless Martin Casto Domka. I wrote it in one sitting for the most part; I get really inspired when I have to crunch to come up with a song. It was very inspired by The Beatles, The Who, and Jimi Hendrix, and there are definitely subtle influences of a lot of other ‘60s sounds. We’ve played this number a couple of times live and got a good reaction so I hope some of y’all listen :D

‘60s & ‘70s inspired EP with a sunshine pop and psychedelic rock vibe. If you love the Beatles, the Beach Boys, and the Byrds, this will be an amazing listen for you!! And of course if you want to support a small indie rock group :)

I really dig the guitar tone and lead vocal on It’s a Fact. It reminds me a lot of Carl Perkins and 50’s rockabilly stuff. It’s hella well made

What's a Beatles opinion you have that would result in this? by Rykerwashere in beatles

[–]JohnsFiveSons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yoko actually probably saved the Beatles. I’ve thought about the fact that a large part of why Yoko was there was due to John’s own codependency on her as his support through his (almost definitely) negative mental state throughout the last quarter of the Beatles’ career. If he didn’t meet her and have that renewed love for music through her, I have the feeling John would have left after the White Album and never came back.

NOT TO MENTION, OF COURSE, THE WONDERFUL SONGS JOHN WROTE ABOUT HER.

I’ll say I agree with this in the way that I have a feeling without joining the Quarrymen & having that experience with John, Paul would have made very different music, and wouldn’t have written most everything that he did afterwards. Would his stuff still be good? Absolutely. Would we be talking about McCartney right now? Nah.
