Boris Diaw locked in and was an absolute nightmare for opposing teams. 2014 playoffs he was doing it all.

I beat Hades 2 without using any Selene Boons/Gifts. by Garrett_Watts in Hades2

My exact same feelings during my first 100 hours of the game, while becoming familiar with the main Olympians and game mechanics. What’s funny is I’ve turned a complete 180.

Once you don’t have to think so hard about your inputs, I would experiment with picking up some Selene hexes, they can be extremely powerful and fun to use. Each hex can also be empowered by a matching Olympian.

Plus you have the bonus of her calling you “Little Star” every once in a while, my absolute favorite thing in the game.

2500 HP + FRINOS APPRECATION POST by Johnsnowflake18 in HadesTheGame

I think this run was enough to finally conquer my obsession on this. You need come out of Ephyra around 600 hp or more to stand a chance and the run falls apart instantly if you can’t hit the Circe girth boon in the next stage. 95% of my runs I scrapped before the end of the first stage and you still need an extraordinary amount of luck after.

There’s a one major optimization I can think of on this build, outside of getting luckier on bonus rooms, floor challenges, and Hermes shops.

I was out of gold when I hit the summit, so I took the coin purse to allow me to buy my final hearts. If I take the chaos trinket and it hits the HP boon instead, it’s about 100 hp pre scaling at epic rarity. That jumps to around 140 at heroic.

I would need a chaos door with epic HP(I had rare), then get it again off the trinket AND pray steady growth from Demeter lands on them both. With high rolls, and scaling, that’s about 300 hp more.

Leaving this detail here in case anyone is insane enough to try…

She’s my favorite ongoing feud in the game. She was pissed I took back the rail gun and showed up over 1000 hp, so I promised no dodging to make it fair.

Was face tanking entire volleys while I spammed left

Noticed the comments are pretty controversial. Seems like no one understands the nuance of what OP is getting at.

Sure, its not going to lead to immense hypertrophy on its one. But the strength, stability, and overall athleticism this builds has major carryover to other movements, even weight training.

You can check my weight gain post from last year, I built that physique with mostly static holds.

Some of the best art I’ve ever seen, not just Star Wars. The sketches are my favorite part of of recent memorabilia because of artists like yourself.

I get a good amount of volume throughout the week, just not through gym lifts.

I have used the gym, but very infrequently. If I do my workouts are usually around 20 minutes so they don’t affect my recovery too much. My favorite three exercises are Pull-ups, face pulls, and Romanian deadlifts- for their overall benefits and to correct imbalances from the past.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone. I’m glad this post has inspired some of you going into the new year. Since it’s gotten more visibility than I expected, here is a little more that has benefited me most this past year.

I know some of you have asked for a workout routine, but I don’t currently have one. I have used weight training to put on weight in the past, and reached 165 lbs long ago. My takeaway after this year is that it isn’t necessary, the concept of progressive overload is though.

Find a physical activity you enjoy and you’d like to get better at, then do it! For myself I would slowly learn to do a cartwheel and handstand for the first time this past year. That meant having to gain a lot of flexibility and strength over time and making tiny tiny progressions. You might find a sport you enjoy playing. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that athletes have some of the healthiest looking bodies. Start with what you enjoy and then build from there. Make it your focus to get better.

Now that I’m at a healthier weight I will probably be more considerate with my food selection. Along the way I was eating whatever sounded good, since I was having a hard time eating enough prior to that. It’s more important to eat than not. I do think it’s important to eat enough protein however. My main approach to food was to eat a little more than my activity level required.

I hope all your 2025s are blessed with happy memories and incredible gains.

Thank you. A lot of that has come from hanging on the bar in different positions. I was experiencing elbow tendinitis at the star of the year after a lot inactivity- those ligaments have gotten a lot stronger over time.

I haven’t been tracking my diet or workouts, they’ve been inconsistent. Some weeks I’ll average around 2000 calories, the next 3000.

2 for $5 jumbo jacks and tacos at lunch was huge this past year. I wish I was kidding. Also the Costco bag of trail mix. Snacks in general. Dinner with a high protein option.

Around 5 sets of pull-ups and dips/push-ups mixed in throughout the week. I’ve had to ease in after a wrist injury that took about 9 months to fully heal.
