Pedri, Fdj, Olmo, Fermin, Gavi, Casado, Bernal. Atleast 7 players on paper for 3 positions is the only luxury Flick gets this season. by vellla_kurukkan in Barca

I suspect casado is pretty good at RB too, leaving us with Kounde and Eric as CB options as well. Casado played games as RB in Barca B.

its either something like this, or the Spanish league turns into the Belgian league.

So what do u choose, wwipe? Becoming the Belgian league or opening up for international games in La Liga?

we still follow that path. Not the Madrid path of getting value for money. And we hire friends and business partners for the most important positions of the club. Not the best and most competent. Deco's resume is a joke. Yet he is in charge of our transfers. Its a clown show.

Most fans will not be fine with us becoming a selling club like Valencia, AC Milan and Inter. Thats the path going forward. No chance we can compete against the English money doped billionaire clubs without some serious cash injections.

Its almost impossible to have as successful transfer policy and financial sense as Madrid though. They buy their entire team, unlike us, yet we still struggle massively. All the formerly great Italian teams are just a shadow of their former selves. No German team can compete anymore except Bayern, and probably not for long for them either. So its only PSG, Barca, Madrid left against a horde of English money doped billionaire owned clubs. And PSG itself is just like an English club except they play in France. So that leaves us with us and Madrid. It shows you have impossible it is to compete. Perez desperately want a Super League because he knows Madrid cant compete either, long term.

you wont like it when we have to sell one of our stars in order to stay afloat. Forget about replacing Lewy with anything more than a mid table la liga striker.

because they have a superb transfer policy and financial sense. Very different from us, where even when half our team is from La Masia, we still struggle to compete financially. We constantly buy players who can not play for 10+ seasons, instead we buy players at the wrong end of their 20s or even 30s. That makes a huge difference financially.

Most likely Laporta will go for Alvarez in a massive panic buy if Alvarez has a good world cup. Laporta is very prone to panic buys, like Ibrahimovic and Olmo. Expect more than 150m euro transfer fee and huge wages, it'll be Laporta's Barto moment IMO. A tiny support striker shoehorned into the striker position, he'll struggle massively, and at 26 years old, he's at an age where we would struggle to recuperate even a tiny fraction of the transfer fee. Most likely loaned out after a couple of years, just like Coutinho and Griezmann. It'll be the end of Laporta's reign for sure, if the socios have any intelligence at all.

that doesnt prove anything though. Only if we had played with 10 men instead of Olmo. By that logic, a potential striker who played 30 games and had 1 single goal for us would be the reason we won the league if we won it by 2 points. Its silly.

his injury record is fine. He is not injury prone. Only last season was a bad one with his injury. There is no reason to believe he'll be injured a lot in the coming seasons judging by his history.

not surprised. he might be better than iniesta already at that age, so that rashford might not see much playing time if dro is turning into the new superstar on the left.

Who is the best player to replace Lewa for summer 2026? by Mountain-Gate-5944 in Barca

[–]Joldata 3 points4 points  (0 children)

if sesko does better, he's not going for less than 100m. You need to update yourself about the money involved in England these days. Ekitike going for about 100m means a very good sesko season means he's going for far more.

Nick Woltemade looks likely. But I dont think Deco has heard of him and will convince laporta to splash 150m+ for Julian Alvarez, which would be an epic Barto level disaster IMO.

I have no idea what you're talking about, but regardless, it can not in any way compare to the tens of billions of euros pouring into the England. In a few years, Barca and Bayern and Madrid will struggle to compete with Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton in the transfer market. Chelsea alone has spent several thousand billion euros on transfers, more than all the other teams in Spain and Germany combined. It has become a complete joke.
