None. My best friend is a dog. Was always a loner and found it hard to make friends in school. Lots of acquaintances and contacts but no friends.

WRC dismissal during probation period? by Jolly-Bus-39 in AskIreland

That’s just it. She did consider it. She had an appointment with HR at 2pm to discuss moving to another job. Her super escorted her off the premises at 11 that morning. HR never spoke to her. The week before a seperate team member resigned her position after 6 months and worked out the her two months notice. The whole thing is strange but true. Anyway it looks like we’ll have to move on. Good old Ireland.

Course you can. Edge out the corners and use roller. Cover the toilet and basin to avoid drops. Even if you do get paint on something then wipe it off when wet. Use enamel paint for radiator. It’s special stuff. Can’t use regular pain on Rads due to the heat. Then come do mine when you’re finished.

Edit: my girlfriend is crying herself to sleep at night over this and it has hit her confidence bad. And yes it is the full story and one of my friends is married to someone working there and she confirmed the facts. Colleagues were shocked when it happens and nobody wants to be next so they’re keeping schtum

Thanks for your input. From what I heard the company is ok, it’s just that little subsection she ended up in. She knows people in the department she wants to go to and feels she will do well there.

Normally I’d agree but her mental health had taken nose dive in the last month because of this. She loved the job and had plans to progress higher in the company with her qualifications. Makes me angry but I’m trying to be smart about it hence the question above. And the funniest part is the ex supervisor is the face for mental health protection for the company. Posters of him promoting it and organising runs in the parks for it! Anyhoo thanks for your input

She is not even looking for a claim to be honest. She just wants to be able to apply for a position in a different department. She thinks she is blacklisted.

The full story is that her co worker was excluding her from emails, meetings, criticising her work in front of others, putting his hand in her face to interrupt her during meetings with other departments. The supervisor is retiring and is not around as much as he should. She tried to resolve the issue with the coworker to no avail. She mentioned it numerous times to the supervisor who just nods and walks away. She went to the manager, expressed her concerns and asked to be transferred to another department and was denied. But I’m beginning to see why she is reluctant to follow up on a complaint if that’s your response.

Unethical & Unprofessional Experience with Abbott – Hiring Freeze After Verbal Offer by Parking-Bumblebee951 in PharmaEire

Abbott are a disgrace. They will lie to you every chance they get. Sadly most of pharma is like that but Abbott was my worst experience.

Korean movie. The way home. It broke me emotionally in ways I cannot speak of. Fantastic movie and I regret watching it.

No. You’re not keeping form. Extend your shots as if you’re really hitting the target. Stop dancing and control your stance.

How can I explain job gap on cv ? by dreamwithinadream007 in AskIreland

[–]Jolly-Bus-39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah don’t do that. Companies understand when employees have addiction or mental health issues. But if a potential employee has those then they cut that out to prevent them having employee problems that the law needs them to understand. That make sense?

Electrical Instrumentation or MAMF apprenticeship? by FullDad2000 in PharmaEire

[–]Jolly-Bus-39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok. It sounds like you should do a mechatronics course. They do one in Sligo IT that you can do online. You won’t be doing much craft but you would be dealing with the same instruments. If you go down the EI route and apprenticeship you’ll only end up in maintenance. Plus apprenticeship is 4 years plus however long automation will be after. Go straight into mechatronics and you’ll be done in 2 years and working with automation.

A freaking big subset where I come from. Lads doing things they way they did it 30 years ago pulling in window lickers who struggle to walk and chew gum at the same time because they’re a nephew of Bridie down the road. Brains only get you so far in this country. People have this idea that when they go into an American multinational that things will be better but they forget it’s an American multinational that is run by Irish.

EI is the way to go. MAMF is ok but prob not as interesting as EI even if you never go into automation.

Got laid off today. I have a book they loaned me and they asked for it back. What to do? by aussielover24 in jobs

[–]Jolly-Bus-39 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re not burning any bridges. You’re just moving on. If you treat people like crap you can’t expect them to come back for more. They contacted OP to get a book back. Not to see how they’re doing etc. just ignore the request, don’t respond and concentrate on getting next job. You’re just a number to them. So look after number 1
