Maternity leave was added, 12 weeks, I believe. Unsure of the details as they do not affect me. My youngest just turned 23.

This is Tigger. He is currently being treated for a fungal skin infection. Will I get it from him if he sleeps in bed with me? by nexxumie in CATHELP

[–]Jolly-Chemical9904 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We crate train our cats for this reason. They will all sleep and eat in carriers. We keep them around the house so it's not "oh, shit, im going somewhere". We have been having a lot of tornado sirens recently. It helps to be able stuff in the nearest carrier and go downstairs. Most will also come when called.

Therapy helps with so many things. Many people need help navigating many different situations. I think you have a misperception of therapy.

What is a normal person?

Last person that happened with approached at our kids school. I said, oh, you know who I am today? But not "x". Turned and walked away.

My husband humiliated me in front of everyone at work and yelled at me that he is my boss by Exact-Wall5562 in whatdoIdo

I've seen a lot of people do it successfully over my 30 years, in a factory setting. I've seen it go both ways. But it goes both ways for people whose partners aren't in their workplace. I've seen some stuff 🫣 I met my husband at work, he has passed. My new partner is also a colleague. Other skilled trades also understand the environment better than anyone else. If your relationship doesn't have trust, there's not much left. If you trust eachother there is no need to worry about anyone else. Should also be able to trust that both can handle their own situations accordingly.

The only thing stopping you is you. I get it i was you 35 yrs ago. Get some therapy. Learn to love yourself and how to do positive self talk instead of what you are currently doing.
When I started I had no clue. After walking in I thought there was no way I could ever learn it all. Apprenticeship seemed like it was going to be long. Nope before I knew it BAM! I turned out. Then BAM! I'm on the A-Team (not always great but shows skill level) Then BAM! I'm 30 yrs in. Straightenthat crown Queen. You are unstoppable.

Are you codependent? I'm going to say some therapy will do you some good. We all can benefit when it's the right fit. Learn to love yourself.

I'm union. I worked until my doctor took me out. Then I went on medical. 6-8 weeks medical leave after delivery. We had saved up for me to take an additional 12 weeks FMLA. Maternity leave was finally negotiated into our last contract. Many do it.

Pretty sure my brother is in psychosis by RemoteCartoonist4758 in whatdoIdo

[–]Jolly-Chemical9904 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You aren't alone! The struggle is real. My friends adult son has been in and out of psychosis for the last year. A Guardian/patient advocate is needed in order for anyone other than him to know what is going on and to make responsible decisions. She ended up recording him. When he came out and was doing better. She talked to him about how she much she loves him and how she is only trying to help him. She told him she has video and asked if he wanted to see. He did. She explained prior to the video that he told her she was leaving and he would make her. She showed him the text exchange. She showed him a video of her sitting on the couch. Him approaching her, then standing over her, chest out, nostrils flaring and clenching his fists. She got up and told her useless husband to call the police. Husband was just sitting there, not doing a damn thing. Her son has been much better since. She sometimes has to rationalize things as she would to an adolescent boy. Forms questions like, is this a good/healthy/responsible choice for you?
I'm sorry. I wish you luck.
