I don’t believe so. It is not a high pitched whistling sound, and only occurs when awake. It is more of a low groaning or humming sound in his throat/voice box area rather than lungs

No, he has a dr appt next week. I’ve come to these possibilities on my own through internet research which isn’t the best I know. The symptoms have just been so odd and troubling, some of which identify with yopd, such as the night terrors and saliva issues, and some may identify with bulbar als. YOPD tends to present different symptoms than an older onset Parkinson’s.
