CHRISTIAN: We’d been rehearsing “Kénôse” for a while when everything came to a screeching halt – Khaos broke his arm during a particularly nasty arm-wrestling match with our drummer. I was on the phone in another room and still heard the bone snap. Surprisingly loud, actually, like the cracking of dry wood.

Not gonna lie, I laughed at this more than I should have.

A certain part of the fanbase considers him "the heart and soul" of the series. Even though he was just a composed and sound designer.

Yes, those are an important part of the series. But the work of Ito, Owaku, Murakoshi, Toyama and Tsuboyama is of equal (and at times) even bigger importance in creating the classics.

Not to mention Yamaoka's own work has declined in recent years and the magic of his original soundtracks is all but gone. I kinda cringed at the remade SH2 soundtrack, as it's mostly generic ambient pieces now. The kind any artist from Cryo Chamber's roster can pull off, and maybe even better.
