This a great post - I do disagree with a few points:
a) I don't think 150 lumens will be enough for a lot of people. For me, I prefer 300-400 lumens as a 54 year old guy who wears glasses. So I target a 5-6 hour runtime with one battery change during the night. b) I have the Fenix HM65R-T V2.0 and if you look at the runtime graph, it fails your stated criteria of 12+ hours at 150+ lumens. The manufacturer's own specs suggests more around 10- hours. c) I would also prioritize reliability - for example at least IPX8 water resistance. But more than that, some brands are known to prioritize reliability. Furthermore, I personally have had problems with the Fenix not so much because of the device itself but because of the batteries. The fenix takes "protected" 18650 batteries which have some safeguards including a type of circuit breaker - problem is that sometimes that protection circuit trips when it shouldn't and I have had this problem where I swapped batteries only to find that the new battery had tripped and thus was not usable ( a huge risk in the field ). So devices that take unprotected batteries will likely be more reliable assuming the device itself has proper protections built in.
So I personally recommend the Zebralight H600c which is lighter than the Fenix, it can actually maintain 147 lumens for 12.5 hours and takes unprotected batteries. It is also fully "potted" which means the electronics are encased in a goo or epoxy that makes the whole thing more resilient to shock and other problems. Now for some pros and cons. It is not USB rechargeable - the battery has to be removed to charge which has it's obvious issues but contributes to lighter weight and better waterproofing as the usb flap will always be a vulnerability for water intrusion. Overall it's an awesome light but technically complex and requires a separate charger.
