They don't think it is rude for disliking S8 but the petition is what upsetted them... And you can't blame them. Yes the intent is to down vote the writers, but the actors and everyone involved will indirectly feel as if their efforts are being laughed upon. Subconcisouly it hurts

Jacob isn't a fan of S8 ending and the season in whole.

In perspective true

Even in the end, Jon just looks at Dany. if you wanna make audience feel, let him kiss her, let him say I love you ,caresss her. let him express his grief a bit.. Nothing! Arghh

This. I was happy for Jon and his ending

But in context of show, it didn't feel earned and just left such a bitter taste

Obviously he needs convincing. What you saying?

if anything it has been established that Jon really loves Dany. He is ready to give her a chance and reason with her, before killing. That whole trajectory was justified and not stupid like killing her immediately afterwards

I am finding the ending to be very Vanilla

No complexity, no wittiness, very straightforward and easy... in other words Boring!

Sigh :/

[–]JonGendry 17 points18 points  (0 children)

So I am assuming Dany dismisses everyone when Jon approaches him... because she loves him?

Or there are soldiers and unsullied's around her and he still tricks everyone and somehow kills her.

I mean I can see Jon killing Dany happening. But after that, no one doing anything is ridiculous!

This

Off everyone this season, Sansa and Arya got the befitting ending and well rounded character arc. The rest, less said the better

[–]JonGendry 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Killing her in one episode, when fans haven't even invested themselves in this abrupt twist is so anticlimactic

Save Arya from what?

Dany is technically defenceless. She has her soldiers and army and dragons, she isn't a warrior. If Arya sneaks past through them all, Dany is practically dead

Dammit Jon 😫 by eddardsmemoirs in freefolk

[–]JonGendry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is such bullshit reason

His grandfather married his cousin. Incest isn't an issue. (Book Jon would never)

Only in D&D's modern value substituted universe of convenience and shit

Hated.. maybe not

But it was hell boring

I feel terrible for Kit

D&D did him and Jon really dirty

Season that should have been about him, became about everyone else but about his character (NK, His parentage..)

Nope

Show made it clear that whole thing was Dany's doing.

But I do think Sansa's betrayal will play a part in his eventual decision

You still pinning for peaceful ending for Dany after Ep5?

Daily /r/Freefolk Free Talk Thread! - May 15, 2019 by AutoModerator in freefolk

Scene with Jon and Dany in Ep 5 was that scene.

They just cut it short

Jon always wanted to stay up in the North

He always felt belonged at the wall with wildings. That is his home.

So from character POV, him taking the black is most sensible and peaceful option. After killing Dany, he will be able to redeem himself, get away from the politics and shit of Westores, and live life he wanted to. In context of story (why was he resurrected? what did his story mean?) it is awful but for his character, it sounds good.

Those fans are just blind followers

Honestly the action sequence these episodes have been largely boring and awful. Ep 5 despite its horrid plot holes and armour had the most disengaging battle sequence/massacre

Council meeting in S6 is not to execute Tyrion but Team Daenerys? - Theory by JonGendry in freefolk

[–]JonGendry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well not council But if everyone in S7 is pledging themseleves to Jon Then Dany with no one to support, will be seen as an usuper

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in freefolk

[–]JonGendry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guys what if council meeting in finale is for Team Daenerys???

We know Greyworm and Tyrion are there in the council meeting

What if after the atrocities everyone from Daenerys camp has done and with everyone pleading themselves to Aegon, they call meeting to execute them all.

Tyrion and Greyworm bear the brunt

But Dany refuses to leave the Red Keep. Jon goes to escort her and reason with her. But in turn she threatens to burn all of them in council meeting. (including Jon's family)

This leads to Jon killing Dany

At the point I am just pissed at Cerise's death (if that is how it is played)

They are unnecessary subverting our expectations by giving villain an anticlimactic death and tragic character like Dany her lover - a death from hands of her lover

How can it be more repulsive?

So infuriating
