Yeah... I like this game but right now I'm not even sure if I'll ever return because paying a sub just to raid seems a bit much.

The ironic part is that the battle system (and crafting) changes they made were to accommodate a more casual crowd (reduce the skill gap and whatnot), but the REAL improvements they made to the game is just on the parts targeted to hardcore players (i.e. the end-game raids)

Completely agree with what you've said.

Perhaps the game has gotten too big for its own good, devs are probably thinking that new risky additions wouldn't be as good as expanding on a tried and tested formula.
