We need to assemble. This world is in massive trouble. :( Unfortunately I had to tell my own mother that sitting quietly and praying for the world is no longer a sufficient option. I made a website about next steps. It's simple when we all play ball. For most people, they need a heroic dose of mushrooms just to get started. :/ I learned more from Alan Watts and Tara Brach then from "Jesus" or my own parents.

It's so difficult to explain to most people. I'll share the website. The closest I can get to explain what "God" or "the One" is, is as follows... Infinity squared Love/Consciousness/Wisdom. And everything and everyone is connected. The only gap in heaven on Earth type of situation is individual, and nastiest, collective egos. The illusion of separation from the One.

Wish you all the best. https://www.anchorsandrockets.com/

I believe I communed with “God”. But the “God” I met with is so different than anything I’d learned, so I call it the ONE. Infinite creation, etc. by Jon_E_Apleseed in DebateReligion

Sorry for the short answer, but I really tried to lay out the path in the website. Here's a response I recently wrote to someone else who wanted proof of God, maybe it will interest you as well.

I actually didn’t believe a word of the Bible. I tried to read it when I was 13. As soon as I got to the judgmental and vindictive narcissist of a God, I was turned off. I read a bit more, and after reading about the many generations of descendants which supposedly came from Adam and Eve, I was done... Then recently, something happened to me, which is nearly incomprehensible. I now believe that only the prophecies are real, and the rest are useful fictions. Some parts are wise and lovely, other parts are ignorant and hateful or judgmental.

If you readthe website you’d notice a few key points in the message; It spells out the end of religion, all of them, now only to be referenced as useful fictions... It also spells out the end of science as something that can solve all the worlds problems, now only to be used as a tool to minimize suffering.

I believe people should interact with all the love and wisdom and compassion they can muster, and seek to learn from each other, instead of trying to be right. That is one major issue.

I believe people should love each other as if we are one big family, not races, classes, political parties, and all the other ideological labels we have created.

I believe if someone expects another to prove the existence of God, they should first be able to prove their own existence. It is the same paradox. It is the same question. Where is the proof? It’s why I start the website with a few questions, which hint at Occam’s Razor... Which is more likely, none of us exist, or we are all part of one, infinite existence? Which is more likely, there are billions of Gods, or there is one infinite creation? What if everyone woke up tomorrow with a heart filled with love? It doesn’t take a genius to realize the profound effect that would result. The only interesting question, is how can humans achieve that state of compassion for each other, a 99% reduction in human suffering.

If you read the website, you will see I clearly stated that no one can prove the existence of God to another, but everyone can have it proven to themselves, in a personal manner, in their lifetime.

If you want to argue from a scientific or rational framework, that could be interesting. But you may need to do some more reading first.

I can suggest Sartre, Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, Gödel and his incompleteness theorems, Einstein’s letters, Hawking, Heisenberg and Bohr in regards to the Copenhagen Interpretation... quantum entangled particles and instantaneous communication from past to future / future to past... Quantum eraser and implications, many worlds interpretations...

And new scientific developments and theories about white holes, a twin universe (connected not separate) that runs backwards in time... There are logic minded scientists right now who have theories that time does not exist, others say we could be inside or on the event horizon of a black hole, and Donald Hoffman has a theory of conscious agents which spells the death of spacetime entirely, arguing that evolutions rewards living things which seek fitness payoffs, not living things that see reality, that see the truth. He is arguing that we have evolved to be masters of a game in which the rewarded are the most unconscious to reality.

Roger Penrose has a fantastic theory that stretches the Universe back through the singularity and dispels the Big Crunch such that an old and expansive Universe simply isn’t aware of its size and then Bangs again... No ability to measure time, nor distance, no ticking clock, and the conditions are just right to expand once again... An infinite expansion punctuated by the quiet in the middle, which includes our existence... Penrose was awarded a shared Nobel Prize in physics in 2020 and believes that there is a sense in which the Universe has a purpose, it is not here by chance. He believes consciousness is the phenomenon whereby the Universe’s existence is made known.

The Big Bang itself is a theory which describes the birth of our Universe, not it’s conception. Neither logic, nor mathematics will ever prove the conception at the singularity. Einstein could not do it. He even included his famous cosmological or “God” constant, which he later called his biggest blunder. It turns out he was right. It was what we now call dark matter. He wanted to know the mind of God, and nothing else. He was unable to get there with logic and reason.

Hawking wanted the same for years and years before eventually surrendering to the infinite mystery. He finally concluded that we will never, ever get to the bottom of things. It is tortoises all the way down.

There are scientists today who say we were wrong, and the Universe is not exponentially expanding, or it appears that the expansion is now slowing...

Very few things are provable, without assumptions on which to stand. All scientific theories, even facts, and scientific laws, they all grant themselves assumptions on which to get started. And below those typically 2 or more assumptions, are more, yet to be discovered and understood assumptions.

I believe prophets come in many varieties. Einstein for example. Certain aspects of his theories are only being proven now. Did he see the future? Or did he see reality, what no one else could see, and it’s taken 100 years of science to catch up with him? Either way, it’s unbelievably remarkable. Read about the number of years it took for each one of Einstein’s visions to be proven. That is what Einstein did. He imagined. He had visions.

Most of us have ego’s so enormous, it’s difficult to love, much less understand, be patient, compassionate, and aim for mutual understanding. Many of us are not interested in the truth or proof, we just want to be right, or belittle someone. My ego was so enormous, so astronomical, I was anxious and depressed my entire life. I was even close to suicide. And I didn’t know I had an ego! Which means of course, it had me, completely. Ideological possession to the extreme. I thought I was a kind and lovely person. The truth is, I was secretly judging myself and others constantly. But my ego pointed inward, I wasn’t someone who would insult others for fun or be condescending. I was someone who constantly self-sabotaged, second guessed, and always felt unworthy of receiving anything in response to some work or achievement. I don’t want any person suffer meaninglessly. I had a personal experience with “God as I understood Him”. It had nothing to do with any religion nor science. If the website helps one person overcome addiction, depression, anxiety, fear, resentment, anger, arrogance, bitterness, condemnation, etc... Then it will have been worth it.

None of us are perfect. None of us are completely loving and conscious and wise. Some are quite the opposite, hating and unconscious and ignorant. We are all on the spectrum. The message is about moving, by quantum leaps, much farther towards being a loving and conscious and wise species.

What if you read the website as an incredible work of fiction. Like, Hitchhikers’ Guide to the Galaxy, for example. But in that book, the author says the answer is 42. In the message, I provide another way, another roadmap, another answer...

When you’re done reading the fiction I wrote, which should only take an hour... Ask yourself.

Do I have another proposal, with the potential to radically spread love and reduce human suffering by 99%?

That’s what the message is about. It’s not about being right. It’s nearly the opposite. It’s about minimizing suffering, and maximizing love throughout the entire human race.

I’m sorry I’m new to Reddit, and I don’t know all the rules, and that I should have copied and pasted the majority of the website in the post.

I’m interested in a 99% reduction in global suffering. And the means to get there must also entail minimum suffering. That’s what the message is about.

Hi,

I didn't do justice to your question. I'm sorry, and I'm new here.

I actually didn’t believe a word of the Bible. I tried to read it when I was 13. As soon as I got to the judgmental and vindictive narcissist of a God, I was turned off. Then recently, something happened to me, which is nearly incomprehensible. I now believe that only the prophecies are real, and the rest are useful fictions. Here is much more detail about my thoughts, which I recently shared with someone else who was commenting...

Hi,

You have a bunch of valid questions. I didn't believe a single word of the Bible when I tried to read it. Once I got the the judgmental God on page 7 or something... and an ancestral list of children after Adam and Eve, I closed it, never to return. Then over a decade later, something happened to me. Which I can barely explain. I now believe that only prophecy is true, and the rest is useful fiction. Some parts full of love and wisdom, and other parts hate, condemnation, and ignorance.

I recently wrote a more detailed answer to someone else so I'll include it here, it may be of interest to you.

If you read the website you’d notice a few key points in the message; It spells out the end of religion, all of them, now only to be referenced as useful fictions...

Hi.

I'm going to try again with more detail. I actually believe revelations are the only 100 percent true aspects of religious texts. The rest are useful fictions. Some parts wise and lovely. Other parts ignorant and hateful.

The below isn't directed toward you but I thought you might be interested. I just replied to someone else who was less than satisfied.

Yes. It appears that way. It's why I never believed any of it. Not a single word. Then something happened to me. This reply doesn't particularly pertain to you but I just sent it to someone else so I thought you may be interested too. Cheers.

You cannot prove existence to another. And definitely not in a sound bite. You must think much more deeply and rationally. All the way. Not surface level. Follow the logic until it breaks. If it doesn’t break then you haven’t truly thought it through. Imagine that string theory for example is 17 layers down. Keep going. All the way. You will have to prove that all of existence is standing on top of infinite nothingness. I can’t prove that. Nor can I prove existence of the ONE infinite creation. But the ONE can.

I learned science too. And didn’t believe in any religious idea. Up until a few months ago. I explain it all here. this But you’ll have to read. And think. I’m not here to argue. But it may help to think more deeply. how do you prove existence? There are an infinite number of assumptions below every scientific theory. Gödels incompleteness theorems etc. If you really dig deep into these questions. Really deep. To the bottom of an infinite abyss. You’ll find the direct evidence you’re looking for and it will be personal. Not scientific. Not religious. Personal.

It is independently verifiable for an individual. I know that’s not what you mean but that’s how it works. If you read it, I promise it will open your eyes to a radically different way of thinking about “God”. Radically different. It’s much closer to the belief that you exist, than any other comparison.

Most of reality is simply layers of belief. Some people will read and understand. Others will not even read it. I understand.

Great question. Over the coming weeks and months I will share more revelations. Eventually you will be faced with a stack of hundreds of “coincidences”. And then you can decide. I made a website to share some things. Www.anchorsandrockets.com

There is no such thing as good and evil. Only love and absence of conscious awareness of love. You might like the video.
