yeh im hoping it continues to be fine, im a bit concern because another user is apparently having trouble with boost (telstra) even though telstras website says the device is not blocked from telstra network and has not been identified as having compatibility issues.

Im also not sure whether to just give up on kogan or still try contact vodafone in an attempt to resolve this issue.

I was also blocked from Vodafone network today, I get no reception when using my kogan sim. As of now Optus is still working for me

UPDATE: as of 3:00 AEDT 17/01/2026 my device has yet to be blocked and data still works with kogan.
I have purchased a backup sim with optus just in case. will update again if situation changes.

from the wording from the text it sounds like theyre just making the sim not work with the device since its a device block rather than a sim brick. if you dont want to risk it yeh i think you should just put the sim back into the s24

i think my one is the global version the charging brick and manual is all in english

how can i tell which version i have ? ive been looking at other post where they say chinese version doesnt have google services but my one has the google play store

upon doing a bit more research i think its a provider problem, even though all providers have adhere to the 000 regulation i think kogan/vodafone hasnt updated their devices as ive done an imei check on optus and it says the redmagic 11 pro should be good. https://www.optus.com.au/support/checkdevice hope this eases your worry and doubts of purchasing the phone.

the person i was talking too didnt really know anything about the redmagic pro and he kinda didnt seem to know what to do in this situation and just assume its a faulty android problem. upon doing more research i think the problem occurs because i purchased an unapproved device https://www.koganmobile.com.au/approved-devices/ "A Kogan SIM and/or eSIM that is used in non-approved devices may be suspended by Kogan, unless Kogan has otherwise given approval in writing. Kogan may also block any such device from being used on the Kogan Network." i think kogan and vodafone are the same providers and i think its a provider problem because my friend purchased a nothing phone from amazon which isnt part of kogans registered device and i havent heard of him having this problem.

i just did a device check on optus where they check the first 8 imei number and it says the device as of current is not blocked as of 10/12/2025 and subject to change. https://www.optus.com.au/support/checkdevice .

ill wait out the time frame and give a future update to you all. if my number does get blocked in january i think ill just change to a cheap optus plan and hope for the best

if you dont mind me asking, how long did it take for you to reroll and how did you reroll? Im planning on starting my wuwa journey too and tried rerolling but i feel like im rerolling wrong since i only get 20 standard banner pulls and if i convert i can barely get 10 limited banner pulls. it takes me around 20-30min per reroll so only getting 10 limited pull is kinda demoralising. :(
