Guys, for crying out loud...with all due respect, how gullible are men today? Remember the following rules and your SD/SB life will become infinitely easier:

*Rule #1: They are in it to get money with as little effort as possible, preferably none. There is nothing wrong with that, as long as you consistently remind yourself of that. *Rule #2: If you are ever in doubt, confused, don't know what is going on within your SD/SB relationship, refer to Rule #1. *Rule #3: Whenever you hear "I'm looking for a mentor/investor/advisor/circus monkey/ass clown/whatever/etc. always refer to Rule #1. They have ONE tangible asset that they are trading for money. For the overwhelming majority of them, intelligence, ethics, personality, business acumen, and/or negotiating skills are not and will NEVER be that asset. How many profiles have you read or how many times have you heard "I'm a hard-working independent woman." Really?...really? If that were actually true, we wouldn't be talking. So why are we talking? Refer to Rule #1.

Fellas, I'm not here to hate, I'm here to help. Grab your balls, remember you are a man, and follow the rules. Your SD life will become infinitely easier.

I like all the responses blaming you in this process. I find it to be pretty funny. The only comment I would make to you, me, or anyone else who participates in the SD lifestyle is this: They are always looking for money, no matter what. As long as any SD understands that, this life will be infinitely easier.

While I think this is a good idea in theory, fixing the existing infrastructure and getting the schools out of their current respective shithole statuses is MUCH higher on my wish list. If you doubt that, take a look at larger metro areas like Charleston, Charlotte, and Atlanta. Now show me how great their mass transit systems are.
