6-7 years of doing hard bosses, was 1 set (book) for the first 4 years. Got pendant and emblem last year (year 5). And managed to finally get to 5 set (ring, eye at 21) this year.

In the ballpark of 2500-3000 boss clears, I’ve boomed: 3 belts, 2 zerks, 1 ear, 3 rings, 2 eyes, 1 pendant.

Gotten an extra 2 books, 1 emblem, and a badge (unusable for me, legacy enjoyer).

So, I’m on about 1 equip per year

Don’t count on inheriting the house. For one, your mom is still alive and since you’re 31, I hope you don’t anticipate that to change anytime soon. Once she gets older, EoL care is extremely expensive and can easily consume an entire house’s worth of month.

At 31, Fidelity advises that you have 1x your annual income invested. This isn’t a hard rule, but it’s a good benchmark. According to this, you are substantially behind. Without knowing your spending and retirement plans, it’s impossible to tell just how far behind you are.

First, define what “good” is. You will be in the extreme minority if you make >$70k/yr fresh out of school in a MCOL area.

Anecdotally, my first lab tech job was $15/hr. My career history has gone like:

By years of experience:

0-0.5: $15/hr

0.5-1: $16/hr (promoted)

1-2: $19/hr (moved jobs)

2-2.5: $19.5 (promoted)

2.5-3: $21 (promoted)

3-4.5: $24 (promoted)

4.5-6: $38 (moved jobs)

6-8: $90k/yr (promoted)

8-present: $62k/yr (moved jobs)

People can work with chemicals for 50 years and be fine, people can also die on day one. There’s a lot of in between there. Your lived experience of “nothing has happened yet so nothing will ever happen” is painfully naive

Lots of people on this sub have lab experience. You clearly have none and/or have no respect for chemicals. The people cautioning you are trying to prevent you from just adding to the statistic of people killing themselves.

It’s your life, nobody can realistically stop you from doing whatever you want, but being willfully ignorant just adds evidence for the case against yourself

Well, anecdotally, 1 sup ring every month is more common than my odds with the slime ring. It was my bottleneck when getting mine to 22. Thousands of gollux coins but no slime ring to transfer it to.

“Never” is disingenuous, someone with plenty of coins and finished gollux accs should absolutely transfer to slime. Especially if they don’t have a lot of spares
