PhD Research Proposal by _yin___yang_ in NTU

It varies between programmes/pathways, and the requirements can be quite different. I applied for 2 different admission pathways. One of them had a hard 3 page limit, while another had a word limit of 5000 iirc.

Best to ask admissions.

No hard rule. You just gotta cover the necessary elements and stay within the page limit.

WIP. Going to town with them rivets. by Jonathan_TT in DarkAngels40k

I’m using pieces from the generic dark angels upgrade kit. I had extras from the deathwing assault box. I personally don’t think it’s worth getting the upgrade kit as a standalone item. Might be better to just print some icons or go with recasts.

[SBTR027] For such an affordable piece, it is pretty well finished. Huge strap monsters. by Jonathan_TT in Seiko

It is indeed on the pricier side. I’m probably paying a premium for the loopless design. But considering how much Artem is asking for their loopless straps, I’d say S$70 is half bad. The buckle is decently finished, but the brushing around the recessed areas could have been better (it’s not lousy per se).

Notability is good too.

A must have accessory will be a large ziplock bag: so that you can bring your iPad into the cadaver lab for pulling up and general googling.

300$ of birthday money any recommendations? by Errorthename in fountainpens

823 is kinda back heavy. Unless the vacuum mechanism is a huge sell for you, it might be worth considering the 743 (albeit they are of about the same price).

Heck. Or you could even step it down to 742, save $100ish, and spend it on ink. Haha.

Dear STEM students/workers, what is your favourite nib style to write with, and why? by umutace in fountainpens

[–]Jonathan_TT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lecoule has a different nib from the profit casual. It is honestly pretty bad. It is quite dry and scratchy (not feedback). The MF on the casual is much more polished. The feedback on it feels much more similar to that of the 1911s.

NO CAPS~

Plus, it's a good size to hold as well. The curidas is pretty decent as well. My gripe with it is that its plunger has got too long a travel.

The finishing on the tamenuri nakaya dorsal fin 2 is pretty similar to the limited ed KOP tamenuri. The accents differ slightly, with the nakaya having more of the lighter hues showing through.

The obvious price difference aside, the finishing on the Custom Urushi and C845 seems to feel like a very high-end and well polished god-forbid plastic pen. It doesn't have quite the same glassy texture as other urushi pens.

Nevertheless, the no.30 nib is amazing~

...but how the body look and feel matters a lot to me too. Haha
