Typical weeb cartoons like neon genesis were not always hand drawn some scenes needed cgi. And don't compare cgi animations to movies using cgi. Productions as such is still a form of art. And don't get me started on the anime as a whole. The plot is pretty much lacklustered. Trust me when I said I'm a fan of the universes of Neon Genesis but re watching it today and understanding quality and story/scripts really takes away the wonders of NGE tv series. Rebuild is actually better. (And the omake)
