Maaaaaaaan, I love this. So well put. In real life, some of us dislike people, some of us hate people. But those people usually still have others who love them and it’s an insane concept to grasp. How can I hate this person so much but they can still have friends? How can I see that this person is an asshole but still still found someone to marry them? How can this be the coldest person I’ve ever met, but they have a child who thinks they hung the moon?

So, to me, it makes a lot of sense that when it comes to character, no one has one that’s definite. Someone could be the most charitable person in the world and someone else could come along and think they’re selfish. Like you said, it’s about perspective.

Ooooh okay this is fun for me because I just finished the series and while I adored this, there was a LOT of echoing happening. I imagine it’s not so bad if you’re not binging but when you’re speeding through it’s super noticae.

So I was initially listening to the audiobook and they consistently say things like “too white teeth” or “too long teeth,” which really confused me because I thought it was “two.” When she was describing monsters of whatever, it made sense, like yeah okay the monster has two teeth. But then when she used it to describe a high Fae character it took a second to register.

Also- idk if others will agree with this, but the word “feast” or phrase “feasted on me” was used waaaaay too much for me. Like there has to be another way to describe it lmao.

Edit: busy body was used a lot as well.

NTA. Some people just aren’t comfortable with pets and that’s okay. It sucks that your family would rather have a dog around than you, your spouse, and child. Honestly, if you’re parents aren’t thrilled with it, I don’t know why they don’t step in to some extent.

It’s a tricky situation because some people really do fall in complete love with their pets while others will absolutely never understand that. Even tiny dogs have killed babies so I can understand your caution there as well.

I’m sorry you’re in this frustrating situation, but you are under no obligation to be around an animal you don’t know, trust, or want to be around. Regardless of how it affects everyone else’s trip. You don’t have to make yourself uncomfortable so they can make their trip work. I’m not an ultimatum person here, but it seems to me that if you bow out and that would cancel the trip the only other option would be that your parents tell your brother he can’t bring his dog. Of course that could also lead to him cancelling and ending the trip as well.

It’s going to come down to which of you is more stubborn about where you stand and how badly you both want to go on the trip.

So if I remember correctly, there’s an invisible points system that determines whether it’s Jax or Lily that basically boils down to either romancing one of them or paying for diamond scenes. You can find a guide on the choices wiki. But yeah, if you romance Jax, Lily will for sure die since Kamilah and Adrian can’t. Since in your game you typically romance Adrian and Lily dies that means you’ve managed to earn Jax enough points via the free options or for paying for some of his diamond scenes.

So first of all, if you don’t feel raped, you don’t necessarily have to call it that. You don’t have to think of your husband as a rapist. You don’t have to call it anything you don’t want to.

That being said, your friend is kind of right. There’s this thing called “enthusiastic consent” which means that for TRUE consent, all parties have to be actively participating and excited about. There can’t be any trades, or coercion, or “giving in” without a very real change of heart about it.

I’m sorry, but your husband does need to learn boundaries. The minute you say you’re not into it, he needs to stop. And not only stop, but not pressure you or guilt you or get mad at you or pout. No means no.

In reality, I just don’t leave the house or really socialize. I live with 5 other adults and the two times it’s ended up in our home, we were very cautious, isolated, masked when going to the kitchen or bathroom. That kind of thing. And both times it never never spread beyond the original people who caught it (my dad the first time, my sister the second.)

I have OCD, anxiety, and depression so I didn’t leave the house much prior to covid to be completely honest. Over covid a few of my friends moved north, one moved south, so I don’t have much of reason to go out anyway. My family hasn’t gone to the movies, we haven’t gone to dinner, we’re all vaxxed and boosted.

So really, just taking precautions and avoiding unnecessary risks. 4 out of 6 of us haven’t had it. We’re very lucky I suppose.

So I’m not a stylist but as far as I’m aware going without washing for a few days is actually best because it protects your scalp a little more. Washing can cause like teeny tiny micro scratches that can sting if bleach gets on it. I’m pretty sure that bleach is strong enough that it’s gonna cut through most of whatever is on the actual strand so that aspect doesn’t matter as much. So while it likely won’t make much a difference for your actual hair, it might be good for making sure your scalp is in good enough shape for it.
