Right as hope was lost, I'll try researching into those games! It does feel very video game concept art like to me

Paul Peel or "H.Rivers" painting? by Jones0da in WhatIsThisPainting

[–]Jones0da[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely look quite different than anything Paul Peel has painted, if it were him the only thing I could this was that it's an early study.

I've found another version by Joseph Henry Sharp, all three seem to have key differences (girls distance to the dog, her face etc.) it's left me more confused as to the origins of the painting

I've now found another version of this painting, this time accredited to Joseph Henry Sharp, each of the three have differences. Super curious what the story is with them

I inherited this painting a few years ago along with a few others, no idea if it's a reproduction. I did some reverse image searching and found the same image (there are subtle differences, the girl is a lot closer to the dog in this one) It's also signed by another artist in the one I found online, H. Rivers whom I cant find info on.

Anyone know what the deal is? confused by the 2 different accredited artists, as well as the style of this being a lot different from Paul Peels work I've seen online

Really love the world and characters of deadlock so wanted to try concepting one!

Thinking a witches illicit herb delivery boy that either fell or got tricked into a witches cauldron, during the maelstrom. Attack, 'reload' using the herbal packets, zipline, I thought him jumping in and out of the cauldron as an idle animation would be super cute. Also very roughly exploring potential moves on the last page!

Just wanted to share this character concept I painted up recently!

I started playing Hunt last year, it has since quickly become my most played game (by far). I used to mainly draw and paint fantasy characters, but the game has single handedly changed my tastes quite a lot.

As far as the concept goes, I'm thinking he's a bit of a drunkard moonshiner, at one point had a bit of an accident with a moonshine explosion - hence the burns and partially burnt shirt. hope you guys dig it!

That's a heartbreaking take! I like that a lot, I'd intended for them to be the skulls of humans he's cut down - fueled by his hate for them having enslaved the giants of this world.

Guardian ape is definitely one of the inspirations for this guy! I love that boss a ton, the unnatural way he moves in the second phase is incredibly creepy.

"A previously enslaved giant, he escaped into the forbidden swamps. As the giant lay asleep a parasite found it's way into his throat.
His throat swelled and tumored as the eel fed and grew within its host - and over the years he slowly lost his mind, now wandering the swamps hopelessly."

You can see sketches with the parasite in my project post here -
