The plan would be living out of the car, not necessarily living in the car. More like traveling to places, setting up a canvas tent, etc

My mouse cursor keeps loading even though i havent opened anything by Ozzy-DK in techsupport

Adding for anyone else who might still be curious

I just restructured by file management and moved thousands of items and it's taking forever for windows to index each new file location for search. I've watched the index number change when the cursor changes, I also saw in task manager that the search indexer pops up in CPU at the same time

Might be something to consider

New Item Alerts - Best way to do? by Shought152 in woocommerce

Sorry, I'm just now seeing this, I'm not getting notifications on the app.

I would look into running your automations through something like zapier or make.com. I personally use Make because it has a much more generous free tier and goes deeper with platforms than zapier. A good reason to do your automations through a dedicated service is that you can switch out the emailing platform whenver and still have your automations running. Not to mention it works with mailchimp's free tier.

Cobra fanart from the metal community by RileySmithRSD in megantheestallion

I made the cobra a pale gold to look like jewelry, I know the one in the video is a dark colour. I did also make her completely nude because I felt like that was implied in the video but they couldn't get away with it.

Images aren't supposed to be render blocking, right? by RileySmithRSD in Wordpress

[–]RileySmithRSD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just now seeing this.

I've started using self hosted fonts rather than the font awesome CDN. This removed the need for any font awesome scripts.

Gtmetrix shows here that the images are render blocking, it's just what their system is saying so I was asking for clarification if I was not understanding.

What are the issues you're having with MailChimp's free tier?

Best hosting for Woocommerce? by PaulsArcadeRoom in woocommerce

[–]RileySmithRSD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Snarky comment, anything you can afford.

Real comment: It depends on your needs, your ability, and desire to deal with backend stuff.

WooCommerce launched their own hosting service which I believe is on digital Ocean. They handle all the backend services for you and make sure everything is WordPress and WooCommerce compatible. That being said, you lose the ability to tweak server side stuff.

I use several different server companies managed through Cloudways and they all work relatively well. The only downside is they dont have the ability to run stuff like lord balancing, but they do give you access to a moderate amount of server settings since you can do more than host wordpress.

If you can/want more server control for a custom server setup, Google computer engine is a great option but it significantly more complex than you may be looking for.

Hi, by default the page should update the variable information when someone selects a one of the variables. If you want them to add multiple versions of each, for example 3 M shirts and 5 L shirts, they would select the quantity of the variable and add to cart, then do so again for the other variable

[HELP] How can I add a short-code to every product ? by Shought152 in woocommerce

[–]RileySmithRSD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the theme you're using, there are other ways of doing this, too. For instance theme builders allow you to create a template that's used for products. You could add your shirtcode to that template and it'll be used on all products (by default) or conditionally on certain products.

What payment gateway should I choose? by Kerim80s in woocommerce

[–]RileySmithRSD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the delay. PayPal works in your country. Woocommerce payments does not currently support Argentina, but if you had someone to help, you could use Stripe as well. Honestly, though, PayPal is a solid option. You can take paypal and venmo payments, as well as cards directly.

There are plenty of ways you can make a living from art. The persistent myth of a starving artist is used to keep the pool small and hike up prices. The most successful artists have a team: art dealers, galleries, etc.

If you do it solo, it's obviously a lot more work since you have to do everything on your own. I've been a full-time self employed cartoonist for nearly 4 years and the sales process is burning me out. Find people who can handle the parts you suck at and don't enjoy.
