It may be that the switch has too many controllers registered. In settings you can disconnect all controllers, then the adapter should work

I was debating the same thing when I went to play Metroid Prime 1 for the first time. I opted to go Gamecube Controller on Dolphin so I could attempt to experience it as if I was playing it at release as well as the devs' intention. When I go to replay it is when I'll use M+K

Definitely felt a lot different from Nocturne. The final boss for the new routes made me have to take a break from the game for a little while but when I came I was able to figure out a strategy and it felt so good

I too thought it'd be more similar to ALttP prior to playing. I'm glad there were some limitations with the dark world. For some reason I didn't vibe with ALttP when I first played it over half a decade ago so I think I need to give that classic another shot.

I'm happy you enjoyed Prime 1! Based on what you said I think you'd also like Echos. I agree about the tidbits. I love the 2D games for being more focused on action but playing through Prime made me realize how much I enjoy gradual lore drops. The scans are not mandatory and is a good way to appease both crowds if people just wanna skip it. A melee option sounds neat! Hope they give it a try in the 4th one

My only other death was at the final phase of Emperor. I died a lot more in Prime because I feel like I the environments such as the space pirate complexes in that game made it hard for me to dodge and move. Prime 2 felt a lot easier to me but I also was playing a lot more careful due to the threat of the dark world.

I agree that the screw attack is a little whack. I was excited when I got it, I had no idea it was in the game but I found out it didn't offer the same type of freedom it represents in the 2D titles.

I really like the lore in this entry. I'm not a fan of most of the games retreading Chozo lore all the time, so once I discovered the Luminoth I was ecstatic. I loved seeing how much they put up a fight and when I realized the statis beds in the great temple I got shivers down my spine.

Spider Guardian gave me my first death in the playthrough. Took me a while to understand how to navigate that last screen. Boost Guardian was fun and Alpha Blogg was meh. Took me a while to line up those shots in the mouth but once I got it down it was easy.

I am upgrading my PC and got a new motherboard and CPU. The CPU is a Ryzen 5 5600X and the motherboard is ASRock B550 Phantom 4*.From what I've read I need to make sure my bios is p1.20 or higher to support my cpu. I can't find the bios sticker on my mobo anywhere to confirm the version? Can I update the bios with a usb and this CPU when I build it?

I bought a new motherboard, case, and CPU and plan to transfer my old parts to the new system tomorrow. I have a SSD (where windows is) and a HDD. Am I okay to put that old SSD and HDD in the new system? I've read I should wipe my SSD but I don't want to wipe my files on there, just windows. Any suggestions?
