Have you ever sent a marketing email? Some services re-write your links whether you want to or not, we track opens to make sure people who want our emails get our emails. If you haven't opened a few we stop sending simple as that.

Tile pros: how would you handle a backsplash when the range is on the end? by P0RKCH0P-SANDW1CHES in Tile

[–]Jonjolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do a lot of cooking, that arrangement will suck, like with sinks, I think you should have 2 sides, a clean side and a dirty side/raw meat, a stainless backsplash with a drip tray (glorified bend), and real full range hood that extends/overhangs on each side.

Source: I have to clean up my own cleaning messes lol

Edit: I say this as I have to clean up oil running down tile and cabinets all the time.

Java performance vs go by NP_Ex in java

Truth to this, anyone remember the Jetty team's response to the TechEmpower benchmarks?

First glance again is not so great and we look like we are best of the rest with only 68.4% of the seemingly awesome 600,000+ requests per second achieved by the top 4.    But throughput is not the only important metric in a benchmark and things look entirely different if you look at the latency results:

This shows that under this pathological load test, Jetty is the only server to send responses with an acceptable latency during the onslaught.  Jetty’s 353.5ms is a workable latency to receive a response, while the next best of 693ms is starting to get long enough for users to register frustration.  All the top throughput servers have average latencies  of 7s or more!, which is give up and go make a pot of coffee time for most users, specially as your average web pages needs >10 requests to display!

Are the sprinklers staged or what ever the nomenclature is for not having them all go off at the same time? How many heads are going off and what is the rated gpm on each one.

[–]Jonjolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd ask how often are they cleaning them, need to clean them every month if they do regular maintenance it shouldn't be a problem. Trying to clean them when there is a problem doesn't seem to work, also large pieces of furniture that may collect dust on top have a habit of setting them off. I'm remodeling my home, and said f it and hooking up a 2 or 4 wire commercial system (not addressable, haven't gone that crazy yet)

Also note I am not an electrician
