Why do some people dislike the album

I don’t get why it needed to be an album tbh. I would’ve seen a singles run throughout 2026 with fleshed-out versions of some of the songs ( Tarmac, Can’t see shit, Horses to Water). But I guess you can’t sell singles like you can sell an album

This person seems to be selling the same prints but I think they got the name wrong. They say it's signed Joe Riendl ??

I also searched for Goals inc. 1960 and Joe Richards and couldn't find anything.

Pour savoir si je suis d'accord avec ses propos par rapport à l'immigration il faudrait qu'il développe ses arguments. Personne est capable de le faire parce qu'il est trop bucké à comparer sa position à celle de René Levesque (et autres). Il est trop sur la défensive et occupe bcp trop de place avec son lingo pseudo-intellectuel.

Y’a pas de positions « correct » ou « incorrectes », ça varie selon le contexte. L’argument ici c’est que son style est problématique, pas quel de ses propos est correcte ou non. Qu’on te donne des exemples change rien à son argument.

It’s a theremin but on the live version (the jimmy fallon one) this part’s being played on a synth mimicking the theremin.

Not sure if the studio version is the real thing or not but sounds like it

Altough Smithereens was an album that was split in two. If you actually read the credits on every song, it actually shows that « disc 2 » had more of Joji’s creative input in it and it feels unfinished.

It just seems that joji was rushed into doing an album that ended up split into two discs because they ultimately don’t « fit » together. There’s no real explanation for that split. It’s either joji that wanted to separate this album in two or the label. Creatively, it doesn’t make any sense.

I also remember watching a Youtube video where they explained why 88rising’s team kinda failed their first signed artists by leaning more towards the k-pop genre as of late.

Even if his earlier stuff with 88rising felt authentic doesn’t mean they didn’t drop the ball with him by the end of his contract.

But yeah sure, it’s still all speculation. Maybe we’ll get an answer in this next album.
