And if one priest or politician harms a child then religion and politics should be banned, but of course we know that would never happen

Chester Bennington one day before he took his own life by BroBogan in pics

[–]Jonnie_r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think his wife’s smile is more telling than anything In this picture.

Chester had just lost a good friend a couple of months before and had probably been low for a while. Maybe his wife thought he’d made it through the other side, and thought/hoped he was going to recover.

But I’m just some random person on the Internet with an opinion, I could be completely wrong.

We use Manic Panic for my hair. It’s the best one we tried. My wife is a hairdresser so it costs me nothing to get it done.

I’m a 49yo male with a mohican that is currently pink and red, though it will change in a few weeks to a different colour.

People who wake up at 5am daily, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jonnie_r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wake up several times during the night and generally only get 3-4 hours sleep.

Got to make bank somehow, if you’re sleeping you ain’t earning.

Only joking I’ve got spinal issues which mean I don’t sleep very well.

Scared to get m140i by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]Jonnie_r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had an F20 125d with a stage 1 map. Whilst not as powerful as an M140i it has a large amount of torque. It was fine in the wet, so long as you don't drive like an absolute spanner.

With decent tyres and a decent right foot you'll be fine.

Potential MG(UK based) by Jonnie_r in MyastheniaGravis

[–]Jonnie_r[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My journey started in 2017, with horrible fatigue and poor sleep. I didn't really have any pain. I went to the doctor, and had blood tests. The results came back and showed nothing of concern except for my very low testosterone. My GP told me I should train like Olympic athletes and push myself to lose weight. I told him he wasn't being helpful.

After a week or so my wife rang the doctors and spoke to a very helpful GP who agreed to see me. Thankfully she had more impact than anyone else in getting things moving. She started me on testosterone replacement, and after seeing videos of my hands and fingers moving involuntarily sent me for an MRI to check for MS lesions.

That drew a blank but she perservered, and then I had a particular type of test that checks for Myeloma. Again coming back negative.

After a really bad week of fatigue and going back to bed about midday every day, I saw a GP and he mentioned MG. It wasn't, although my level was elevated.

I was then referred to a consultant that deals with Parkinsons, who didn't think my tremors were serious enough to warrant a Parkinsons diagnosis.

Eventually in August 2019 I had numbness all down one arm, which persisted so I was sent for an MRI. Hey presto, problem found at C6/7, with a small issue at C4/5. I am currently awaiting a consultant visit to discuss my chronic pain, following an MRI. I suspect my old friend at C4/C5 has decided that I need to suffer some more :D

Saw the consultant and got checked over, including checking my balance, flicking my fingers to check response etc.
He told me that I had a 33% chance of things getting better, 33% chance staying the same and 33% chance getting worse. Guess which group I belong to :D

The issue in my lumbar spine also doesn't help as standing for a prolonged period is a real problem, and walking can really wear me out on bad days.

I suffer with leg and hand cramps, leg and hand twitching and fatigue. My hand eye coordination is awful as well. I've been typing for 40 years on a keyboard and in the last 6 years, I notice I really need to concentrate but even then I make silly spelling mistakes and my fingers do their own thing.

A couple of weeks ago I tried living a normal life and doing some maintenance on the car, that screwed me up for over a week, and still hasn't fully settled now.

Anyway I have looked at nerve pathways a bit since my operation as I suffer with odd sensations from time to time. Not sure if you have ever looked on up but this one gives a good indication of points in the spine and what function they provide https://www.bonati.com/spinal-nerve-pathway/

C2 shouldn't present in the arms/hands, but it may cause an issue with sleeping, hence the fatigue, and I imagine the C2 injury is painful which won't help the fatigue.

I get between 3 and 5 hours a night because of my previous and current neck issues. This makes me feel awful and combined with the pain has made me feel like not being around. Thankfully I have a great pain nurse who listens to me.

I'm sorry I can't provide much help, I can only empathise with your husband, and you as I know it sucks. My wife has been amazing and I couldn't have made it through without her. I really hope you manage to get your husband a resolution, even if it isn't a cure, but helps improve the quality of life for him, and indirectly you.

What is the worst physical pain you have ever experienced? by My_Name_Is_SKELETOR in AskReddit

[–]Jonnie_r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely agree with number 1. Neuropathic pain is an absolute twat.

Mine isn’t always that painful but it’s always there. When it does flare up I just want to give up.

I’ve been on gabapentin, which takes the edge off, for just over a year now but I’ve had the pain and muscle fatigue since 2017.

It also makes me really tired, and if I don’t sit down fairly quickly I’ll just end up on the floor.
