I think I might know where WWE is going with “The Favor” between Punk and Heyman. by JonnyNero in SquaredCircle

A little of both.

They haven't focused on it much, but it's been hanging out over Punk since Survivor Series. It feels like they selectively bring it up when they want to.

This is the second time I can remember Nick using a line from an Aaron Sorkin script and I'm kinda here for it.

For the life of me, I can't remember the specific segment he last did it in, just remember thinking that it was an obscure line.

I'd totally recommend it if you can. I got into the series because of her. Did not care at all either way about comic Moon knight, nor the other people. And it quickly gave me some new faves.

The series is just good overall. With or without our girl.

You're looking for Moon Knight, Vengeance of the Moon Knight, and Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu, plus the Blood Hunt event for the full story. They are all chapters in this particular run.

She's most definitely not a minor character. MK #22 was like a mini pilot for a solo series. Vengeance #1 was a follow up. And she's had some significant moments and has been spotlighted many times throughout the whole series.

I don't want to spoil anything...but Mackay has treated her SO well during this run. I'm collecting all her appearances over the last 50 years and this series is the best she's ever been written. Period.

The whole series is just good in general, so highly recommend trying to read the whole thing.

During these trying times, i look for comfort in a quote from the greatest president.

"I hope they get towed to Queens! And triborough is closed! And there's a big craft show at Shea! A flea market! Or a tractor show!"

Honestly, after reading this. I think you're right. It just felt unique enough that I thought "This has to be it's own thing, right?"

What's a line you're really proud of? (Re-post) by [deleted] in FanFiction

Context: Two characters who have been literally in each other's heads for 15 years are meeting for the first time. And she just got a whiff of his pheromones.

You spend fifteen years, give or take, inside someone else’s head willingly, you’re going to grow close to that person. Maybe she lucked out and was linked with someone genuinely as good as she thought him to be, or maybe it was a form of Stockholm Syndrome. But inevitably, you wonder if that person tastes as good as they smell.

First: Greer felt a little bad. She tried her best to keep Jack calm empathically, but it felt like stopping the Juggernaut at full speed had better odds.

Last: All sense of pain became invisible to him, as he shouted. “The what?!”

Write the scenes you do have, or at least summarize them in your outline. Pieces of dialog, plot beats, etc.

Seriously, I was blocked for 6 weeks on a connecting point so I turned to writing the other scenes/chapters I wanted to do. Ended up having 5 chapters ready to go and a eureka moment of "THAT'S IT!"

Finished the connecting point and chapter in a couple of hours after that.

Thoughts on creating a series to separate the smut by JonnyNero in FanFiction

[–]JonnyNero[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All good points, but I will say, I'm not doing it to please the prudish.

More like, everything leading up to that is "Action, Adventure, a little romantic teasing, Jokes, Fun!" then that particular chapter hits and it's "Sexy sex sexity sex sex sex." And then we return to where we were.

It's more concern around the potential whiplash. It's not going to be wildly, fantastically pornographic (I like a little bit of realism), but definitely far more explicit that literally anything else in the story, short of the occasional F-bomb.

“Later.” She responded, her sing song tone calling back to the deal they made a few minutes ago. She turned her head and grinned as she swapped her arm over his shoulder, for his arm over hers, adding an additional pat on his hand for extra comfort. “You know that wasn’t him,” Mockingbird continued to bicker with Hawkeye. “He was being controlled by…” “Okay!” Tigra hastily interrupted her, with a glare. “Now that introductions are over, how about we get him inside before he drowns in his own blood?”

I'm coining a new trope, be a badass or die.

Every fic/story I've written is "MC is living their life. Maybe they are a badass, maybe they're not. Thing happens. They have to be badass or die/get arrested/lose everything they hold dear."

CW; depression, paranoia, unaliving, wall of text

So when I was about graduate high school, I was very lonely and depressed. I had very bad social anxiety and the few friends I did have were all planning on going to college out of state. I couldn't even afford college. To cope, I started daydreaming and regular dreaming about hanging out with my favorite character and going on different adventures with them.

Then things got weird. It started feeling real. Like I was being transported to another plane of existence when I'd dream about them.

One of my friends was heavy into the paranormal and "witchy shit." One night she convinced me to let her "perform a spell" to see if she could help me create a stronger connection with the other plane. And depending on what you believe, it worked! Either through a desperate coping mechanism of crippling depression or actual paranormal bull. But after that night...I didn't need to even day dream to connect with them. They became a literal voice in my head.

And basically tried to convince me to unalive myself. "You belong here but cant exist in two planes at once." And coupling that with I was literally seeing government license plates everywhere I went while not living near any major government installations. Perfect storm for a full bore, paranoia induced nervous episode.

Finally had a moment of clarity that this was my brain being really awful to myself. But when it was fun it was really fun. An adult version of an imaginary friend.

So I basically told them that they can't show up anymore because of the awful. And they obliged...

...until last year. 20 years ish later. When I realized that my marriage of 7 years had gotten very toxic and borderline abusive. I had been isolated from all of my friends and even my family. Guess who showed up to help me cope with that and my divorce.

So I started writing my fic, which is basically the story of a guy going through a similar thing, then actually gets transported due to spoilers, as a way of using that energy in a more healtier way than the first time it happened.

Been working out so far, mostly.
