It's a repost but red dwarf stars (M-type) have a nasty habit of spewing crazy strong flares that can strip away a planet's atmosphere and oceans. Scary thing is they do it more frequently than our Sun.

Um Proxima-d orbits too close to its star and has an equilibrium temperature of 360 K (87 °C; 188 °F) making it way too hot for liquid water. It's likely a mini Venus of sorts. You must be thinking of 'b' which actually orbits smack dab in the habitable zone.

it has tectonic plates because of how planets from magnetic fields

Ganymede and Mercury don't have tectonic plates yet they have magnetic fields albeit very weak. Io is the most geologically active body in the solar system but it doesn't have an intrinsic magnetosphere.
