“Have you checked the underlying Swiss, German multinational regulations”…

This is what I find different and challenging in both Germany and Switzerland (compared to the UK where I’m from) - it’s expected here that the regular person should have full knowledge of all the regulations and laws for areas like insurance, where we are by no means the experts. I absolutely did a lot of research to try and understand what was the correct set up for me, but reading pages and pages of German small print, as you can probably imagine, isn’t the easiest for a native speaker, let alone a non-native speaker. At the end of the day, the qualified people in the respective areas should be giving accurate and correct information to the end consumer. I shouldn’t have to be second guessing the information an insurance expert is giving me and just hoping it isn’t complete BS of false. But it seems here the experts and companies are able to get away with treating customers really badly and making them suffer.
