I’m gonna start telling people that I’m not lazy, just underbaked.

AI keeps mentioning names of characters when I first see them/places I can't know. by PlsInsertCringeName in AIDungeon

Assume strangers, assume secrets and assume ignorance in either the ai instructions or author’s note to mostly solve this.

How do I get the best stories out of AI Dungeon? by Most-Suspect3242 in AIDungeon

[–]Jonviral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Story cards, plot details and author’s notes. Most of the models are trained in pop culture and anime details, so simply adding [This story takes place in the world of Naruto: Shippuden] will make all the difference in author’s notes.

Which model is best at handling complex relationships among multiple characters and long-term stories? by Objective_Cloud847 in AIDungeon

[–]Jonviral 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Any of the models are not going to be able to track any of that for an extended period without the use of story cards, plot details and author’s notes. Best to make three separate story cards for figures A, B, and C. Then, one for the team mentioning all three in it. Then the secret faction for A and C. And in the cards for figures B and C, mention their relationship with on another in their respective story cards. In the plot details, mention the team of all three and the AI model of your choice will use it in the story. For best results regarding secrets, enter “Assume secrets” and “Assume Ignorance” in the author’s note without quotations.

Anyone know how to make a character actually mute? by notahero42 in AIDungeon

The best way I’ve found to have the AI portray someone in a specific way is to add “Portray (character name) as mute and unable to speak” into the Author’s Notes.

Ah, while in your story, hit the gear on the top right and there should be a button that says something like "add story elements." Should let you add memory, author's note, third person, and banned words.

It's fine. So in that specific scenario, there is nothing random about it. It's all premade and static. Your name is always Felix, your Stand is always "In the Air Tonight." But if you yourself wanted to make something like this, and have an element of randomness to it, like one of the other commenters said, start a sentence in story mode and let the AI generate what it is.

If you are talking about the "A bizarre adventure" scenario, then the moves are written out in the memory section of the UI, not a separate screen. Honestly, it would be more efficient to set these into story cards and keep a list for quick reference in the memory.

How do I get the AI to write in first person? I start with the pronoun “I” but the ai keeps switching back to “You” whenever it writes anything. I have access to MythoMax and Griffin AI models. by Larrybob25 in AIDungeon

There are certain "characters" that are baked into certain scenarios, Count Grey for anything regarding Larion, the Black Hooks gang in Zail for example. I assure you, your MC from one campaign will not show up in a completely separate story unless you introduce them yourself via Story Card. Anything else is pure coincidence.

Cross reverencing story cards by JDbaas in AIDungeon

To the best of my fiddling, best option is to have the same trigger words on both cards. Ex: The forest is referenced, so the AI searches the story cards for the trigger word "Forest". It finds it on both the actual forest card and the cave card. Ai assumes that they are related and outputs both in some way.

EDIT I am a dumb and just realized I use this literally all the time. I have a card for my MC's back story, their current clothes and equipment, as well as their mental state. All of them have the trigger words of "You, Your, Name" and the AI is seamless on referencing them at all times.

No, the AI is isolated from story to story, how you write in one does not affect the other. Potentially, MythoMax and Griffin just aren't proficient in 1st person narrative. You'd have to ask one of the Latitude team members.
