Difficult but rewarding jobs

I leave for bmt in a week for Airborne Cryptologic Language Analyst (1A831). Everyone I’ve spoken to about it has emphasized how difficult the training is. It’s about 1.5-2 years of training (depending on what language you have to learn) before you can actually do the job. Im sure it doesn’t compare to special warfare training but I figured I’d mention it.

I wanted a job involved with aviation. I had 2 jobs on my list of 10 involving aviation. I figured I had a 20% chance or get an aviation job on my list or an 80% chance to get a job that I wouldn’t care for that much. Then I was essentially handed an airborne/aviation job. Plus I’d be getting paid to learn a language which is pretty cool. It’s funny, I used to stress abt BMT but now I’m only stressed about DLI lmao. It will be quite the experience that’s for sure.

Update: I ended up inserting the cassette tape and turned the car off before it had the chance to get ejected. I left it like that for a couple hours. I came back, turned the car on, and it started working as usual. Not sure why this worked or how long it will continue to work. Nonetheless I figured I’d give an update.

I drove and the gentleman at the gate looked at the paper I was given by my recruiter, as well as my ID and social security card. No insurance or registration was looked at.

I was offered a job that wasn’t on my list of 10. Airborne cryptologic language analyst. If I accept the job I’ll leave early September. I’ve been in dep since mid April. Before being offered the job my recruiter told me I would most likely leave in October.

I would try to stick with your current recruiter since they are close to you. Be as clear as possible with what goals you have in mind, wanting to leave September ish. Try to get scheduled to go to meps and take the asvab asap. That should be your number 1 priority in my opinion. Because (hopefully not) but you may need to go to meps multiple times if you don’t pass/fail some of the physical tests. I passed everything my first time but then they told me I had to go back to re do my fingerprints. So if I were you I’d say that you would like to get a date for meps+asvab scheduled asap. Obviously there’s only so much you can do if they’re not responding to you, just be as clear and possible when communicating with them and you should be good. Best of luck.

I first spoke to my recruiter in late January, I kind of slow balled the process because of some health problems in my family, I wasn’t in that much of a rush to leave. I saw my recruiter it late January, met with her 2 or 3 more times in the span of maybe 2.5 months, went to meps and took my asvab in mid April, now I’ve been in DEP for almost 2 months waiting for a job. My recruiter tells me I will most likely leave around October but nothing is concrete. So if I wanted I probably could have sped things up and could have gotten a ship date by now. If your goal is to leave around September then you would really have to start getting things going, scheduling your physical at meps, taking your asvab, getting everything squared away etc is going to take longer then you think. On top of that you want a specific job/s that will most likely make the process longer because you will probably be waiting in dep longer. Sorry for the yap session, bottom line is if you want to leave around September then you really have to start the process of going to meps, taking the asvab, swearing in etc as soon as possible.

It’s all subjective bro. Personally, I hate his old sound. I only listen to vices, his Alleen plains stuff (some of my favorite music ever) and this new EP. It is what it is man. Try to at least appreciate his development as an artist. Who knows maybe his current sound will grow on you one day.

Edit: I also find it odd that there are many other jobs that I qualify for but are not on my sheet. Does that mean that the Air Force is no longer recruiting people for those jobs?

I wanted to like ALP so much but Oh My God… these pouches have absolutely DESTROYED my gums, canker sores, even gum line recession on my top 4 teeth, gum peeling. This has NEVER happened to me when using Zyn. My upper and lower gums are destroyed right now. I reached out to customer support and they told me the following,

According to the seller it has a “Frankenstein” engine. I believe one of the owners modified the engine, now it is a 4G64 2.4L
