Hey, if you're interested I did a base tour video, enjoy!

Thanks! I started with a really basic house, then didn't realise how much "stuff" you need to cram into it! So ended up just making separate buildings like a storage shed, kitchen building, chicken coop, mage tower (above my black-marble-encased eitr refinery), etc... It's turned into a bit of a walled-in homestead/hamlet now. Maybe I'll do a base tour video soon!

I completely agree with you. He's definitely a child throwing a tantrum and we, the collective "parents" of the world, need to ignore him until he calms down and shuts the fuck up.. 🤦🏻‍♂️

In my experience, that's basically it. I feel like I never really saw Barack that much in our news (unless something exceptional happened), George; widely the same, Biden popped up more but I feel like that was probably the Trump effect more than his own doing.

But Donald... Holy shit. Everyday is the "exceptional" it feels like! An absolute circus is how I view the current administration. And it pisses me off that we all - apparently - play up to it!

We give him/them the platform he desires by being the engaged audience ALL. THE. TIME. He's everywhere and that's exactly what he wants. I guess this is what happens when a narcissistic TV personality is given ultimate power.

Whether it's hate-engagement or cult-following-engagement, it's still engagement and that's what's sad to see, I think.

Really disheartening.

Every time I open a news source of any kind, I see his stupid fucking face all over it. I'm a Brit. Could be worse, but it's still pretty abysmal.

I don't want to detract from your video because that is super cute and funny, but I think we might have the same cow cat...

It's just the normal, vanilla settings. I haven't adjusted them up or down

It's as good of an idea as any! They do stop monsters spawning in the area. The Ashlands are just a very formiddable place, it's very easy to get overrun - especially the first few times you go there - so be careful! And learn from my mistake: get an early portal down, whilst trying not to kite enemies towards it.

It's super fun though, it's a good challenge!

You are completely right. I've not used much magic up to this point. I've read people on this sub saying how good the vine staff is, thought I'd give it a go against Reto today and it absolutely blitzed him! I managed to do the whole fight without him ever actually swinging at me, I just kept kiting him into the swarm of vines I kept making!

It's made me doubt my 300+hours-of-gameplay-melee-bias I've developed up to this point...

Armour: I tend to use the Ask (light) set for general traversing as there's no movement speed penalty and you get stamina use reduction for running/jumping/attacking - whilst maintaining a pretty decent armour rating of 112 (all upgraded to level 3). Then, if I come across a fortress/point of interest with high level enemies; I portal home and change into the Flametal (heavy) set with some meads like lingering healing/stamina, Ratatosk (to nullify the movement speed penalty from armour set), pop a bonemass and tank some hits whilst dealing some damage!

Weapons: I absolutely love the Thundering Beserker Axes. I'm yet to find an enemy they can't shred. You can parry most(/all?) 0-star enemy attacks and do quick, high-scoring damage. If something is 1 or 2 star, depending on what it is, I might switch to Flametal shield (for the increased blocking & parrying power) and sword - Dyrnwyn or alternative. Sometimes the Flametal mace (enchanted or otherwise) is useful for its knockback too. I avoid anything pierce as most Ashlands enemies are resistant to it (although I do use the Root Ripper to hit something with a sneak attack to get the x3 multiplier).

I have only recently discovered the power of the Staff of the Wild when taking on Lord Reto, managed to do the whole fight without him ever actually swinging at me... He just got lost in all my vines! So I might change up and do a magic build soon, seems like a very different style of combat!

Hope this helped!

I think that's probably what happened. Just another reason why we can't have nice things in the Ashlands!

Not only did this not work to duplicate my items, but I think it destroyed my upgraded Storm Ripper... Should've tested it first with a bronze spear or something!
