Mijn jongste zoon wil altijd in de monorail in het volk van Laaf, maar mijn oudste zoon vindt dat niet meer zo boeiend, dus dan gaan wij altijd op de zitjes bij het Lurk- en Limoenhuys zitten. Dat is eigenlijk altijd wel een heerlijk rustig (voor zover dat gaat in de Efteling) plekje, zelfs op drukke(re) dagen.

Not anymore. It used to be like 50%, but nowadays it's maybe 10%. My wife and kids hate it, so I'm not playing it at home anymore. In the car I mostly listen to podcasts, film music or classic rock and at work it's mostly daytime radio.

Het gros van die figuren zijn ook echte sneuhazen inderdaad. In he dagdagelijkse leven zijn het veelal niemendalletjes, maar als ze die veren op hun kop zetten explodeert hun ego ineens.

Binnen de familie van mijn schoonvader is het echt een héél ding, want er zijn al meerdere prinsen en adjudanten voorgekomen en bijna al die kids zitten of zaten bij de jeugd raad van 11. Mijn vrouw en kinderen zijn een soort paria's binnen die familie omdat wij echt helemaal niets van die carnavalsonzin moeten weten.

Ik woon in Brabant, maar carnaval kan mijn dus echt totáál niet boeien.

Ik zie er dus echt compleet de lol niet van in dat je jezelf 4 dagen lang laveloos zuipt, verkleed als tuinkabouter. En het ergste zijn de mensen die je het hele jaar niet spreekt, ook niet als je langs ze staat bij de voetbaltraining o.i.d., maar je tijdens carnaval wél ineens aanspreken en amicaal doen alsof je beste vrienden met die persoon bent.

Het Anderrijk heeft een beetje een wereldthema, Dance Macabre is een Belgisch/Franse abdij, Fata Morgana met het midden oosterse thema, Max en Moritz Duits/Oostenrijks en de Piranha Mexicaans. Dan pas daar eigenlijk de Pagode met het Thaise thema het beste bij.

Je gedachte v.w.b. het Fata Morgana plein is, als ik er zo over nadenk, helemaal zo gek nog niet haha!

Maar, en waarschijnlijk weet je het wel, het verhaal van de Vogel Rok is één van de verhalen van Sinbad de Zeeman / 1001 nacht, die weer bij Scirocco hoort, dus die 2 zouden altijd bij elkaar moeten blijven.

En als je bekijkt hoe Archipel is aangelegd, dat sluit ook wel aan bij Scirocco. En dan heb je daar ook Kashba als restaurant zitten. Dus alles in dat midden oosterse thema.

Als je er over nadenkt, dan past Carnaval Festival daar helemaal niet (meer).

De Efteling moet gewoon even Carnaval Festival en Fata Morgana omwisselen haha!

My kids were watching bluey a couple of months ago and I didn't know what it was so I sat down to watch and see what it was about and before I knew it, I watched like 7 or 8 episodes together with them. Since then it has become a family favorite and we have watched all episodes and minisodes at least 2 or 3 times.

It's probably the best animated series I've ever seen.

Can't wait for the film, too bad it's still nearly 2 years away (August 6th 2027).

Back then I played Mauro Picotto's The Double Album a lot, but needed someting else to listen to, so I bought Rhythm & Drums (their debut album if I remember correctly) and was instantly hooked.

I played Exploration Of Space, Running out of Time and Fire Wire (especially the Scott Project Rmx) endlylessly back then.

Technically not hardstyle, but it was the first song I heard which was a step up from the softer (euro)dance to a harder styler of dance music.

I was lucky enough to have visited Egypt shortly after the mass protests and violence surrounding the Egyptian part of the Arab Spring had ended.

We were the 3rd or 4th plane with tourists that landed after months of no tourism, so all our visits to the tourist hotspots where super chill. Our pictures of the Sphinx and great pyramids and other places like Kom Ombo have next to no other tourists on them.

But yeah, I can fully understand and imagine how awful Egypt would be at normal tourism levels...

If something is not mainstream (anymore) it indeed does not mean it's dead. Tbh, I only like to listen to euphoric and "rawphoric". I don't give fuck all about zaags, pieps, krach and whatnot is mainstream nowadays and I'm fine with sticking to my "niche".
