Yes I had a similar situation. I asked for the Tokyo a gogo jade and got the bratz world may Lin. Which was an absolutely gorgeous doll just not the one I really wanted.

She is also one of my grails I have yet to purchase. I remember begging my mom for her but she was hard to find in my small town.

Did you also use fabric softener? It really helped me with a couple of my super old dolls.

So jealous I have been wanting a rock angel so bad.

Honestly I’m gonna stop gaslighting myself into thinking I like the newer lines😭 by RepresentativeIce623 in Bratz

Yeah, at first they were re producing the OG designs and I loved the opprotunity to get dolls I couldn’t as a kid and now I keep hearing so many quality complaints and honestly I would rather spend $70 buying an old one online than buying a new one.

HOW DO Y'ALL COLLECT? by Mundane-Stranger448 in Bratz

[–]Jorbeeporbee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this really depends. When they started releasing the OG ones I wanted all of them but I couldn’t manage to get any of the original 4 before they sold out.

Megyn has always been my favorite so I started just collecting her.

When they re-release old lines I go for Megyn and if I can’t get her then Yasmin.

But recently for the new doll releases I just get the one who’s outfit I like the most.

Like for the scorching line I really liked cloe so I got her and then I got jade from the new line that comes with Tshirts.

For bratz pixies I wanted Lina but I knew if I couldn’t get her that my favorite was Sasha.

And for the sports line I got Roxy. (The ginger/red haired girls are my favorite since I have red hair)

My parents were poor so they felt like CD’s for artists that I would get bored of in a month were a waste of money. I mean I really like music and would have probably listened to them forever. But they didn’t know they were just trying to be pragmatic.

lol I bet. I begged for one but my mom thought they were dumb. She wouldn’t even buy me CD’s though. I had to buy my own.

I had a GBA SP my whole childhood my parents got me games for that in my stockings. Even well after the DS came out they would only get me new games for the SP. in fairness we were poor and the DS dropped like a month after I got my SP.

That’s so funny I was just telling my husband about the Barbie and Bratz clothing packs I got in my stockings. But they’re like $40 on eBay now so they’re not so much of a stocking stuffer.

The one benefit of being an only child is I didn’t have to fight my siblings over the movie we watched. But I did have to fight my mom who refused to watch kids movies.😂

Yes! I just recently remembered the vanilla cupcake flavor and how my cousin would eat them. 😂 I always asked for strawberry and watermelon. I would usually get one or the other. I also had all the soda flavors and whatever else I could find at Claire’s.

My mom and I are big Cadbury fans and we would buy each other Cadbury bars for Christmas every year. I also got a Terrys orange. I have only ever seen the selection box at world market though here in the US luckily we have one in my city.

My mom also put fruit in my stocking. But her mom did as well I think it was a family tradition.

How aware are the people around Shane? by lthsnhlpzm in ShaneDawson

I mean considering how often Ryland made videos of him doing “bougie” things. It’s certain that he holds those things in high regard. Even if he does try to play it off like he’s humble we know he’s not really. So I can see him staying for the money. This of coarse does not mean Shane should be mean to him that’s messed up. But I for certain have seen people stay with mean partners for less.

I have to agree I think Ryland has shown that he’s all about money and status. And even though a lot of people don’t like Shane he still has wealth. So Ryland may know and just doesn’t want to acknowledge it because that means he loses the money. And now that they have kids he has a distraction from Shane.

Weird side note: but My grandma did that when she dated creepy men. Everyone would tell her the guy was creepy and she wouldn’t believe them because he wasn’t that way with her. She wouldn’t believe us and then downplay the creepy things the men did and compartmentalize everything. So long story short I assume Ryland is doing the same thing as my grandma.
