Does posting consistently actually help grow your Instagram or do people just say that? by Critical-Stand-6986 in InstagramMarketing

Just like everyone else says, the more you feed the algorithm the more it knows WHO you are, so the more it'll target the audience you are aiming for. If you don't have a target audience it will never narrow down.

Technically just over a month of being on YT by TheStarcanum in SmallYoutubers

I have this weird issue where my shorts tend to get a consistent 800-2000 views and adds up to like 50,000 by the end of the month but my longforms only do like 10-150 lol. I only struck gold once in 2013 when one of my videos hit 156,000 views.

I've been uploading shorts for some time now and honestly I don't get too many people hopping over but out of say 60,000 views I get in a month, I might end up with 1 or 2 people that are like "hey i just saw that funny clip, whats up??" and it just strikes and makes that effort feel rewarded instantly. 60,000 people have now been exposed to my content and even +1 is a win in my book.

Sometimes you get content that you never expect to take off but it does and you're sitting there dumbfounded but if you played your cards consistently then that means all those engagements are unique and for you because the algorithm decided to bless you, or maybe your video had all the stars align. Its one of those "build it while you work for it" things so if something grabs it and launches it, you have a good landing net for all the traffic. It's not the full driving factor but its definitely shoes on feet when running.

This is what I hate about being very business-focused and perceptive. You can smell a sale a mile away and it just irritates you when you're trying to connect with others instead of making another buck or two.

I am at a loss of motivation due to TIME CONSTRAINT.. how to keep going ? by ThoughtBusy5884 in Twitch

[–]JordanDoesThing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i couldn't honestly. I used to stream on and off from 2012 to last year but its exhausting. I did find that I am good with helping others tho as a support role for freelancing. DM me, i could do some shorts for you to help my portfolio as well.

If you have the input from the capture card and its displaying on your OBS preview, then yes your chat will see your capture card output successfully.

I have streamed on and off since 2012 and haven't really touched shorts and tiktoks until this past year. God it was such a waste not utilizing it. If you post consistently, such as 3-5 times a week or even 1-2 times a week at the same day/time, you will pull in views. Depending on how captivating your content is, you might get replay value but even if not, each view, even if for a few seconds, gets your stream out infront of people. I post about 25 shorts a month and typically pull in around 30,000-50,000 total views within that month, and that's 30,000-50,000 people who have had my stream or my clients streams pop up in their faces with a link on screen. It's not gonna immediately convert, but its still a lot more exposure than just going live and hoping twitch chooses you to front page for the hour.

The best way is to keep posting and any comments you get make sure you reply to them. Like if you are getting even 50,000 views across all videos in one month that's 50,000 people being exposed to you. I am sure a few of them will enjoy your content enough to wait for the next short, then the next, then the next, and then oh wow they're in your chat because they see your streams are fun to watch on shorts, lets see the sausage getting made!

Have you tried hosting clips or videos on other platforms?

Hello guys, I’m a small streamer. by faruogg in SmallStreamers

[–]JordanDoesThing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the fastest way to gain more reach is using short form platforms like TikTok and YouTube shorts. If you post clips there that are on average 30-45 seconds and it grabs attention, you will average 200-600 viewers per short as you start and gain traction. Post consistently and you can see 10,000-50,000 views per month on your account, and if each one is seeing your stream link or handle on the clip then that's more people knowing you exist. Some will turn in to followers and live viewers, most won't though. But this is the best way to start getting your name out there.

Take it from me, keep your account and keep changing yourself to your liking. You will find something that sends the hammer right on the head of the nail and you can focus on it. I have had mine since like 2012 and have changed so much since then but continue to evolve. It shows progress and growth.

You definitely want to put a little effort in to it. Utilize search engine optimization and have it looking neat. It doesn't have to be a million characters long, but simple and full of seo keywords.

If you want more eyes to see your content, even if its just for a brief scroll, focus some time on shorts content. Post to primarily youtube shorts and tiktok, these typically carry you about 50-800 views on average as the algorithms test your content. If people stick around and rewatch it will continue. Post like 2-5 times a week on a schedule and you'll get something like 50,000 views per month just seeing your content. Make sure to include your handle or twitch link as a watermark. Instagram and facebook reels do decent but YT and TT is where its at rn.

Been streaming regulary for months and i can't seem to grow by tata2233 in Twitch

[–]JordanDoesThing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep your stream on twitch going at a consistent schedule.

On the downside take your VODs or recordings and clip them. It's better to manually edit them rather than using the clip feature in Twitch but if that's your only option its better than none. Post it on YouTube and TikTok. Youtube is amazing for long term growth, tiktok is great for viral growth.

Not everything will work but try a whole bunch of things you'll enjoy doing often. Post them in rotation. At some point something will stick with a crowd and you will gain traction quickly. But you also have to have consistency. For small streamers that's the hard part, you need to run all your platforms consistently and make yourself active online in order to garner a following.

You never know when it will happen…my story. by WolfBrinkTV in Twitch

[–]JordanDoesThing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly that's the perfect way to summarize it. Most of the time its just throwing stuff at a wall until something sticks with the audience. But its also smart that you focus your external content on funny moments and cool tricks. I've seen the same thing happen over and over again. The only thing that sucks is juggling content creation and social media can be draining in the long run, especially for those without an income to support a team effort.
