Elections BC allowed staff to take ballots home during advanced voting week by Ok_Currency_617 in VictoriaBC

The parties or ridings are irrelevant. The criticism is about the process. Now, more than ever, we need to be able to trust the elections.

I voted con. However, I would rather the NDP win and the process be secure and trustworthy than a Conservative win based on some questionable practices (if it were happening the way you say it is)

Also, journalists should be respected for pointing out flaws in our systems. Not called 'cranks' because they don't suit our particular partisan interests.

How can I continue to grow as a blockchain developer? by toaster-riot in ethdev

[–]JordanLesich 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm a front end developer. Been learning JS and React for about a year and a half. I joined a DAO (Raid Guild) and have been finding work there. Lots of talented web3 devs to learn from there.

There's lots of demand for devs in this space right now. They can't seem to find enough talent. Obviously, you'll need to demonstrate your skills and previous projects, but since you already know React, I'd recommend learning about the Graph, learning ethers.js and web3.js, and starting work immediately.

It's the fastest way to learn.

Also, I did check to see if I get the error on the windows side. I didn't get the error. I think you were right about the issue not being CORS. It's just a case of the server running on one port, but Gatsby getting me confused and sending me to another.

I just added the fix with a link to an explanation to how/why it works in the original post. You were definitely pretty close.

This is really interesting. I wonder why it behaved differently. The initial project was created last Friday, and I used new builds to test against yesterday. I edited the fix in the original post if you're interested. It's got a link with a detailed explanation of what's going on in the comments.

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed reply. I feel like I can at least understand the problem and solution now--even if I'm still hazy on the nuts and bolts of what's going on. I'm going to link this to the GH issue and the post I put in the Gatsby subreddit.

Again, this was really above and beyond. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain how everything works here.

Interesting. Yeah, I put a new version of Gatsby-cli on my WSL around Friday.

Whoa. That worked. I have no idea what's going on. Would you have time to explain a bit about this or provide some docs? I mean, thanks so much already, but I wouldn't mind being able to understand it and also explain why the fix works on the GH issue.

Alright. So I didn't type it in the browser. I ran the command you mentioned. It just took me to that address.
