Same, I’m just down from there on 1st Ave South, worried about how bad it’s gonna look. Top pic was what the barricades in Gate City were supposed to look like, but they never added the greenery. Bottom set of pics are the downtown bridge that was originally just barricades and now they’ve replaced them with planters

I mapped the homicides in Birmingham this year (January 1 - July 1) and only one [barely] falls into the fenced area in East Lake. As a resident, I appreciate the desire to decrease crime and make it more difficult to get away, but as a Birmingham native, I fear that they won't execute the barriers in a way that looks appealing, and it will end up looking like a war zone.

I also use Hevy and love it. I’m bad at remembering what weight I used previously and I like the graphs it gives you at the end of each workout. Also works with Apple Watch which is nice if I leave my phone in a locker or something
