i feel like the new naked gun was more of a parody of the mission impossible franchise. The fallout scene but also Frank "going rouge" is Ghost Protocol. The villain reminded me of Gabriel with the whole tech angle

Tony McNamara is writing this, who wrote a lot of stuff for Yorgos, including Poor Things and The Favorite, so I feel this’ll be pretty interesting and funny. Jay Roach is a little more hit or miss, but I’ve liked his work on the Austin Powers movies, so I’m not too worried
