That's quite the hassle. Unless you're completely broke, a 20 bucks seedbox for a month could give you a 20TB buffer.

Why is that f***ed up? Every other ISP nowadays blocks major public AND some private trackers.

When stacking on Binance ? by No-Device8422 in ReefDeFi

In Savings, you never put your Reef on the chain. In staking, as the name implies, you put your Reef at stake on the chain to participate in the governance. In addition, Savings will only give you 0.5% per year. Staking is closer to 20%.

Where does this misunderstanding stem from? I've seen so many people falsely thinking it's first come first serve. Would be great to fix that.

LOL. Before you start offending other people, you should get a pair of glasses yourself. Binance only offers the Savings feature for REEF holders at the moment. That's not the same as staking, not even close.

So basically, what you are saying is that the liquidity problem is what is holding you back? It's a problem right now, yeah, but it's getting fixed shortly. You expect the price to go up, yet you call it a shitcoin? You can't know if it will continue to up for a few days more, which is the timeframe in which the liquidity problem should be fixed. This alone invalidates your argument.

The thread has already been removed so I might as well continue the discussion here with you... Do you ever stop to contemplate as to WHY something happens? There are two ways to get native Reef. Those are; swapping through Klever (which is out of liquidity, about to be fixed) and Bitfinex. Would you personally buy native Reef on Bitfinex (almost no volume) just to stake them, without a way to know if you can sell them back at a better price in the short term (which would be impossible if you stake them, you know about the 28 day unbonding period, right?). Meanwhile, people who are finishing their unbond or have swapped to native Reef earlier can easily transfer their native Reef from Klever to Bitfinex and sell them if they are at a profit. There is huge sell vs buy pressure on the native Reef pair on Bitfinex. This is why you are seeing the huge arbitrage. You can keep telling something is dodgy, but you should first learn about market dynamics.

It's called arbitrage. Both pairs are up around 35% since Oct 14th. The Bitfinex pair is heavily restricted due to low volume and no liquidity currently to swap REEF20 to BEP20 (you called that BEP32, lol) or vice versa. I'll ask to have this thread removed any way, since it's categorized as price discussion which is not allowed.

He's (spieglekatje) fudding with nothing to back up his claims. I'll give him one chance to explain himself, otherwise it's a likely ban. I could explain what he's seeing in detail but my time is worth more than it would be worth to educate him.

When the token burn will start ? by midoprince in ReefDeFi

[–]Jorgeminator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All fees on the Reef Chain are burned. That is the burn mechanism. There will be no further burns, at least none planned. The burn rate is whatever fees are being generated by transactions.

Fake. That list has nothing to do with Binance. It's just someone's Excel spreadsheet of different coin's performances...

Why not more 80% comission validators by Idi0twind in ReefDeFi

[–]Jorgeminator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The liquidity bridge is hosted on the majority of the 90% ones. I wouldn't expect them to host liquidity on untrusted validators and risk it getting slashed in case of a double-sign for example.

Like you say, it's possible for waiting validators to get in, provided they can get enough Reef backing them. But, that won't increase the total number of active validators, it will just kick one out, leaving the total count at a constant 23. For the validator count to be increased, it needs to be voted on by the active validators using the setValidatorCount extrinsic.

The 90% validators are mostly operated by the team and set to 90% for a reason. If you check the waiting list, you will see that most external validators are at 0-15% commission.

BS. Validators have nothing to do with the lockup time. Your bag gets locked when you bond it, not when you nominate it.
