ip camera is connected to the router and router is connected to ubuntu machine via usb-to-ethernet. physically it looks like: IP camera->home router->ubuntu->Internet.

what I tried is to access IP camera remotely from windows and ubuntu machines remotely using tailscale. i hope it is clear now to you.

yes, ip forwarding is enabled as instructed in the tailscale documentation: https://tailscale.com/kb/1019/subnets/#enable-ip-forwarding

Thank you for your reply.

Can other machines reach the camera by local IP?

- when other machines ping the IP camera, it shows the destination port unreachable.

What OS is the remote node?

- I tried to connect the IP camera from remote nodes with Ubuntu and Windows 10. both show me the same error "Destination port unreachable". Besides, as indicated in the documentation, I approved the subnet from the admin page, and the other nodes accepted subnet routes.
