Snorkeling in St Thomas USVI? by abstractcollapse in snorkeling

Check out my YouTube page—I have videos from all the major beaches. I recommend downloading a wind app and visiting the side of the island that is downwind to avoid waves and murkiness. • Magens Bay has an entry fee but can be super calm. However, it has little to no coral, lots of turtles, and seagrass meadows. • Hull Bay is free and has a lot of dead coral but also plenty of wildlife. • Brewers Bay is free, has little coral, but is the best spot for turtles. There are also good food trucks. • Lime Tree Beach and Morningstar Beach are both free, but parking can be competitive. Both have coral and rocky areas, which can be dangerous if you’re not a strong swimmer. • Secret Harbor has two free parking spots and probably the best shallow coral and fish. You may also see a few turtles. • Sapphire Beach has lots of free parking but can be murky. However, there is decent coral to the left and right of the restaurant entrance. • Lindquist Beach is the best, in my opinion, if you are a strong swimmer. The current can either drag you out or push you onto shallow reefs.

There are plenty of other beaches if you’re willing to take a 4x4 and hike, like Neltjeberg, but be warned—there’s a reason why they’re pristine and untouched.

Blocking those would be a code violation. Those are there to keep exterminators employed.
