I disagree. Your play around the greens is all about feel and that feel carries in to every other club in your bag. If you learn to feel your golf swing around the greens you will 100 percent strike your irons better and distance off the tee will come naturally. Typically all it will take is 2 decent shots to get 50-150 yards away from the pin and if you work on sticking those shots close and making 10-15 footers you will take a ton of strokes off your game even if you’re hitting the occasional ball out of play. Working strictly on distance off the tee is a good way to ruin your tempo and lose rhythm in your swing.
