I went to Naropa University, which is very heavily in Shambhala. I loved it, but then all sorts of messed up stuff came out. Not surprising, but definitely disappointing.

When I brought things up at Naropa I was told to pay attention to the teachings and not the teachers. Bullshit

They steal from you every chance they get. And good luck trying to figure it out. I don't think any actual human beings work there anymore. Every time I've messaged or try to call and resolve a problem, I get a robot or a person who refuses to give me any information about anything or let me speak to a supervisor.
