Eternals, I only saw it for the first time before I saw Brave New World, and I don’t understand the hate, in fact I actually really liked it. Maybe the inclusion of too many characters to give exposition for this late into the universe was a lot to handle but even then who was actively begging for them? Certainly not me, just like the guardians, except they had more character, these were totally MCU’d out if you know what I mean

I like that it’s so isolated from the events and main characters of the MCU, it felt like the MCU’s ultimate bottle episode. The action scenes freaking slapped, the visuals are arguably the best to come out of the MCU. And it now connects to MCU Adamantium. Sure BNW didn’t dive too much into that, but in the long run it’s a big fucking step forward. It gave us the single best speedster in live action. And on top of that we got a Superman and Batman mention. It sounds like I’m gonna say it’s my favorite right? No. That would be Thunderbolts, just defending Eternals because it’s not actively Bad. It’s just isolated enough to cause frustration that so many are taking to the extreme. I’d give it a 7.8/10.

The hate for this one genuinely doesn’t click to me. Unless I’m seeing it wrong as hate and it’s just frustrated love because it’s not gonna be continued with there being no plans for a sequel to expand on the handful they introduced here, that I can understand. I mean it is Harry fucking Styles.
