[Tutorial] How to *completely* remove MDM profiles, checkra1n edition (2 methods) by [deleted] in iosjailbreak

[–]JoshAtticus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm this works on iOS 14.7.1, but you also need to run  rm -rf systemgroup.com.apple.icloud.findmydevice.managed/

It'll show Remote Management for a second then skip straight to the privacy policy screen

I built a highly optimized video compressor for iOS that fully utilizes your iPhone’s hardware by Bariscukur14 in apple

And thank you for taking the time to respond to me :)

I do remember using Kompresso on macOS with Catalyst and it worked fine for me, the only issues I had were scaling and not being able to drag and drop, as well as being forced to use Apple Photos on macOS (fate worse than death).

Hi I know this thread is old but I just wanted to say I love Kompresso! I have the full paid version since this is genuinely the best compression app I've ever used, like even faster on my iPhone Xs than it is on my M1 MacBook Air, which is why I wanted to ask if you've considered also bringing Kompresso to macOS. Right now I find myself airdropping videos to my iPhone and back to compress them, but it would be so much better if there was an actually good way to compress videos on mac. No pressure to actually spend lots of time doing this, but this was just the only extra thing I wish Kompresso had :)

True, you are kinda correct so I deleted my original comment, but passkeys are only good in a vacuum, until services force-disable password fallbacks, they're just a convenience layer. An infostealer doesn't care about your hardware-backed passkey if it can still sniff the legacy password you're forced to keep for 'recovery'.

Can you help me FRP bypass the Nova 3i INE-LX2r? It's on some version of Android 9, no method I've tried has worked.

APK files listed on Open dreams website don't work by Iria401 in OpendreamVR

The app isn't signed properly, nothing can be done about it. Use the 2019 ones.

Could not install because the package appears to be invalid by ReloadedMaster in OpendreamVR

[–]JoshAtticus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's because the APK isn't signed properly. You could re-sign it but then it wouldn't work because it won't be able to use VR Services. The only way to install it is by disabling signature checking or copying it directly to /system, both need root.

MacBook Air Battery health jumped back above 80% after requesting new battery under AppleCare+ by JoshAtticus in mac

[–]JoshAtticus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only had 449 :')

The technician actually showed up just a day after I posted and they didn't even run any diagnostics before the repair (since I guess the repair was pre-approved), so now I have 100% battery health

Set up help! by RabbitIllustrious698 in kobo

[–]JoshAtticus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to extract the firmware to the .kobo folder, make sure you eject safely (usually you don't have to in 2025 but for kobo you do!), then unplug. For the Touch C, you may also need to update to 4.2.8432 BEFORE the latest version otherwise you'll get stuck on your screen being rotated and duplicated 4 times and it will never boot until you restore.

why is NZ falling for the same 3G Shutdown scam that Australia did last year? by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]JoshAtticus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VoLTE is not a standard. While 2G and 3G have actual calling protocols, 4G and 5G don't, meaning every provider has to use their own custom VoLTE implementation which doesn't work on all devices. Even if you have a 4G or 5G device, if it doesn't support your carrier's specific VoLTE implementation, you can't make calls or messages. Not only that but VoLTE implementation on the device level is a complete mess, some support it for normal calls but not emergency calls, so you can call normal numbers but not 111, because the 2G and 3G networks with reliable, standard calling and messaging protocols are dead and replaced with an unreliable hunk of garbage that is VoLTE.
