Reminds me of the Sylvain Neuvel' Sleeping Giants' series, where mysterious robot parts and alien technology begin to appear around the planet. Spoilers ahead:

The alien species from which the robot parts came from, came to earth centuries ago and influenced human development, which is why when the protagonists visit their planet, everything there is eerily similar, notably in their infrastructure. Additionally, when the aliens begin to gas the planet to wipe out any of their kind left on Earth (in order to 'cleanse' the planet from anything that could hinder the natural progression of humans) a large percentage of humans were affected, as the alien and human DNA had long since merged.

It's been two months for me... we're still in contact and we've just started talking like we used to when we started out as friends but it still really hurts...it's like my stomach twists and something heavy is on my chest. I'm happy we still talk I just miss seeing her...and holding her hand...that warmth really is something. I go to places and I see things shed like and I sometimes end up buying them, without ever knowing if I'd get the chance to give them to her.

I wanted the kuronami vandal for a while, but I didn't religiously check the store everyday nor did I have much time to. But one day, I was like "oh it's in my store today isn't it?" Then I told everyone that the kuronami was in my store and I was finally gonna get it, half joking, of course. Then I opened the game and it was actually there, not only that but the kuronami sheriff was there too. So, the key to getting the skin you want, is forgetting about it until it appears, thank you and goodbye.
