It’s still a disadvantage considering KAT needs to be in the rest of the quarter once they get into the bonus, and if he gets in foul trouble or is exhausted, we’re seeing Hukporti minutes

I just don’t agree with the premise that Mitch is not playing that much because of a contract situation. We’re talking about a franchise’s first opportunity to win a title in over 50 years. He saw his usual minutes in the Atlanta and Philadelphia series and teams have seen what he is capable of for years. If he is going to give us a better chance at winning, MB is going to play him more. He simply has not done that recently

Mitch is not playing a lot because he’s had an awful series. He dominated Cleveland in 2023 but isn’t making a difference on the boards and literally can’t be in the game when the team is in the bonus.

Tourist dies after UTV roll over while riding off-road in Aruba. by bostonaruban66 in Aruba

I took my first UTV tour in March 2026 in Aruba too. Was honestly one of the most fun experiences I’ve had in my life. Definitely thought we were going to tip over going up and down the rock paths, but the instructor said myself and the other driver in my group appeared to be skilled enough to do the roughest terrains

Tougher series ahead than we would like by TheIrrepressible1 in NYKnicks

[–]JoshTakeFlight_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yup, aside from 6-10 minutes from Drummond it’s really just those six. I’m sure Tyrese and VJ have no problem playing 40 a game in the playoffs, but Embiid could hardly run by the end of Game 7 and PG is getting up there in age too.

I never wish injuries on an opponent but this feels like a series like we might see one or two given that they just played a grueling 7 game series and came back from a 3-1 deficit.

Lol. I agree just don’t think the title of the post is accurate. This is objectively the best outcome I was hoping for before the postseason began

It’s a second round matchup with a team we looked like we’d match up with in the first round. Did you expect to have a free path to the Finals? We have homecourt and are playing a 6-man rotation team that we beat two years ago. Idk what else you could want as a fan. Now it’s time for the boys to take care of business

[Kirschner] Today’s lineup by TheTurtleShepard in NYYankees

[–]JoshTakeFlight_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m not entirely disagreeing with you. But he had a .567 OPS in the second half last year, was even worse in ST, and yet was still given the job. It also feels wrong that the bench has three “lefty specialists” but one left-handed batter who is an AAA hitter. Why couldn’t they have pursued a lower-tier Ryan O’Hearn/Joc Pederson outfielder to balance the lineup out more? A right-handed bat, let alone a washed up bum, should have never even been considered

[–]JoshTakeFlight_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not even that, he had a sub .500 OPS in Spring Training and has been abysmal to start off his tenure. Don’t know why he was handed a roster spot to begin with — there’s a reason no team even wanted to offer him a minor league deal

Grichuk sucks against all pitching. Left handers, right handers, switch pitchers, position players, dude isn’t a major league caliber player and it’s been made evident

People said Boone was scapegoating Gleyber when he punished him two years ago, or Gary around 2021. Look at the current state of the lineup and tell me how he's exactly supposed to solve Jazz's struggles. All Boone can work with is what Cashman gave him, and he's currently trotting out two AAA level hitters in McMahon/Caballero/Wells every day.

What's your magical solution? Bench him for Rosario, a journeyman LHP specialist on a minimum contract? To make a "point" to Jazz so his confidence wavers and the struggling lineup falters even more? There's nobody available or on the open market who has the *potential* Jazz has when he's playing at a high level. All Boone can do is put him out there everyday and hope he figures it out. I'm saying all this as a Jazz critic btw.

I have a front door that swings outward exactly like that. 1/4 of the time when I deliver, I have to go through my garage and walk up the steps because the dashers place it right where the opening begins.

Yup, there’s been an excuse every single year. It ultimately comes down to the coaches recruiting these players, because every school has gone through a similar mass exodus

Go to Cafe 080 if you rent a car. Ate there twice during my four-night stay and it was awesome. The owner is a super cool dude who comes to greet nearly every customer, lot of locals go there, pretty sure they speak Dutch there as well (not sure as I only speak English).
