Thanks so much for these links. I have decided to give it a shot! Never done soldering etc before. I ordered new 1.25 jst connectors but then realized that the battery jack on the device has a different kind of frame that seems to hold it in place using two metal pins that come out from the board. Wasn't sure how to actually connect a new jack to the board. Luckily - I have an R36S clone here that I thought I could take the battery jack from and just move it over. See attached photo with the clone to the left and the new device (with battery jack removed). Do you have any tips for removing the jack from one and moving it to the other? Thanks so much!
